Proverbs 6:16-19. .All this has the potential to hinder our witness to the unsaved. Rest assured God knows how to handle this. Wisdom appears to have flown out the window. How does this edify the Body of Christ? Why are so many "Christian" KZbin channels showing the dysfunction happening? If an unbeliever saw this or a babe in Christ, would this draw them closer to the Lord or push them away? There are so many churches and leaders across the country that are doing it right and teaching and leading by the word. Why not show that? This is disheartening. I know that there are issues that we as a Body must deal with, but some things should remain private and only discussed amongst the church and not displayed to the world. These leaders are in error because they are not handling their issues privately as the scripture says... “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him privately. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. 17 If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.....Matthew 18:15-20

We are to love our brothers and sisters the way God has loved us, and that’s unconditional love, not putting each other on blast before the world and that goes for Bishop Morton and all the other Pastors getting caught up in the political game. Actually the only thing in his tweet that was directed to Bishop McClendon was when Bishop Morton stated he didn’t agree with Bishop McClendon. I voted for decency, integrity, empathy, compassion, respect, and most of All, I voted for respect for the TRUTH and FACTS. @lionellgrantii77072 ай бұрын
After being a part of Full Gospel for over 29 years this is what I have learned. This is what I have researched from the Word of God. 1. Seek Reconciliation Privately First According to Matthew 18:15-17, Jesus instructs believers to approach someone privately if they have sinned against you: “If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you.” This step involves seeking out a conversation between the two Bishops privately, creating a safe space for both sides to express their grievances without external influence or pressure. The goal should be to clarify misunderstandings and seek forgiveness if necessary. 2. Involve Trusted Peacemakers if Private Reconciliation Fails If a private conversation doesn’t resolve the issue, Jesus advises involving “one or two others” (Matthew 18:16) as mediators. This could mean inviting a respected Bishop Morton, or a neutral party within the ministry to facilitate further discussion. These peacemakers should be individuals both Bishops trust, ideally someone who is spiritually mature and able to counsel with wisdom and humility. 3. Encourage Humility and Forgiveness Galatians 6:1-2 encourages believers to restore one another gently, especially when someone is overtaken by a fault. The passage says, “Brothers and Sisters if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.” The focus should be on forgiveness and understanding, encouraging both Bishops to act with humility and remember the example of Jesus, who calls us to forgive others as we have been forgiven (Matthew 6:14-15). 4. Address Publicly Only if Necessary If the disagreement has affected the Body of Christ or if public statements have caused confusion or unrest, a united statement might be made to the congregation. However, this should be done with great care, without laying blame or furthering division. A public declaration of forgiveness, love, and reconciliation-along with a commitment to work together in peace-can demonstrate the power of God’s grace at work. 5. Refocus on the Mission of the Church (We are the Chruch) In Ephesians 4:1-3, Paul emphasizes the importance of unity in the Spirit, urging believers to “be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Both bishops may need to recommit to the common mission of the Church, setting aside personal grievances for the sake of the Body of Christ. 6. Consider an Example of Reconciliation for the Body of Christ Modeling reconciliation in front of the Body of Christ can be a powerful testimony. When leaders who have been in conflict reconcile openly, it sets a strong example for others in the Body of Christ to follow. This can reinforce the message that unity in Christ is more important than any personal disagreement. 7. Pray Together for Peace Finally, prayer should be at the center of any attempt at reconciliation. Both Bishops, along with trusted leaders, could come together to seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance and ask God for peace and wisdom. James 5:16 reminds us, “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” In other words, we have come too far for this. Let's get it together and let us walk in the unity of faith, and be Christ Life.

I remember many years ago when Paul Morton preached a sermon against homosexuality during his regular time slot on BET. He specifically said that although he didn't agree with George Bush (ie: war and attacking Middle East), he did agree with him on this issue. After the airing of that show, BET cancelled him and his church's time slot was never on bet again. So this is a person that used to preach the gospel without apology. Fast forward many years later when Paul Morton said that if you have not had the COVID shot, you cannot come inside his church. I don't know what happened a long the way but Paul Morton became compromised. Morton attended the DNC, in support of Kamala knowing that abortion clinics were right outside the convention center, where 20 BW, murdered their children. Morton knows the Democratic platform and still supports this woman. If he doesn't support Trump, conservatives or Republicans, that's okay but you definitely don't support a candidate that has an anti-Christ, non-biblical political platform. He doesn't care about the Kingdom of God, holiness or sanctification. Morton has no spiritual discernment.

I understand Bishop NJ posted something publicly, FIRST. However, the rebuttal could have been a private matter. We already have folks out there coming against our BLACK leaders, specifically the church. So let's not allow this difference of opinions about these candidates DIVIDE our churches anymore than it is TRYING to do. Regardless of who either person is voting for, let's stand UNITED for one cause, Our Churches, our People, Our children, Our community, Our, elderly, Our FUTURE. This could have been handled differently. Love with the Love of the Christ.
