And he DID!! This was the last of 3 services and it lasted 4.5 hrs. We begin lining up outside at 6:00a that morning. The service didn't start until 11:00a. Folks was line up all around the church that couldn't get in. That's how much Bishop was Loved and Honored he was know throughout our community! You could drive by the church and see him walking down the street and blow and he would wave, a true shepherd!!!

i have the tape of this service havent seen it since i sang in the choir. waht a service. he was one of the last of an era, sadly gone bye. see ya in glory bishop. ONE LORD ONE FAITH ONE BAPTISM ONE GOD JESUS IS HIS NAME!!!!!!!

I don't know how true it is, but they said Bishop was in a new outfit everyday of the three days of his funeral. Sho' Nuff died in Dignity.

If my memory serves me correctly His suit the first night, a white robe the next night, and his Offficial Robe the Day of the Victory Celebration.

@truviking87 it was all good~you'd have to know Bishop David Ellis to understand why Bishop Huey felt lead to go this way~~I don't believe it was seen as disrespect but honor. God Bless You! :)
