God is not a god of confusion. God knows who he is, and he knows who we are better than we know ourselves. The false doctrine of the Apostolic/0neness Pentecostals claim that Father Son and Holy Ghost are just titles and not names, but our name is our title. Name means Title. and if they believe that God is Father Son &Holy ghost, why is it a problem? Jesus said when ye pray say father.

However, to say "If they didn't baptize as Jesus said, they did it wrong". That would mean Peter's baptisms in Jesus' name throughout the WHOLE book of Acts were performed incorrectly. Jesus said when you pray say "OUR FATHER". The word tells us the Jesus is the Father in the godhead because Isaiah 9:6-7 says "HIS NAME SHALL BE CALLED EVERLASTING FATHER?.. The Father comes FIRST in the godhead.

What confuses me is how he stated that Acts 2:38 " There was no baptism taking place that was an account of a baptism taking place" However when I read the WHOLE book of Acts which took me about 2 weeks to really break down and understand everything, A few baptisms were performed in Jesus Name. The only baptism I can find taking place was in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Of you're a trinitarian FINE. If your Oneness FINE. But I decides and choose to be baptised like they were in the Bible by whom God called. Apostle Peter.

Well the way I understand it is when Jesus said to baptize in the name of the father and son and Holy Ghost no where can we find that the apostles baptized that way. They always baptized in the name of the Lord because they understand that the name of the father son and Holy Ghost is Jesus name. What is the name of the father, what is the name of the son what is the name of the Holy Ghost? It’s Jesus. They always baptized in the name of Jesus. Even though Jesus said do it in the name of the father son and Holy Ghost they never did it that way. They always did it in Jesus name. The Bible said “know ye not that when you were baptized that you were baptized unto his death?. We are baptized unto his death so it’s only right we baptize in his name.

I actually know a COGIC preacher that got the understanding of Act 2:38, and went back to the water in the name of Jesus Christ, and baptized his congregation over in the name of Jesus Christ. And he baptizes in the name of Jesus Christ until this day.

Me once being a trinitarian had to consider that and has a conversation about being rebaptized with my Bishop who honored my request and baptized me again.

The Baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ is right even if he didn't agree with it. How can those that do not believe in the Baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ try to trip you up when we are coming from the same bible that He is reading from also. The Apostolic doctrine is not some made up religion or denomination. The Apostolic doctrine foundation is based upon the Apostles doctrine with the fundamentals of Jesus Christ being Our Lord of ALL! The Baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ according to ActS 2 :38 is the fulfillment of Mathew 28:19 the Great Commission. The Great Commission Matthew 28:19 describes all 3 roles or manifestations of ( Baptism In The Name of Jesus Christ. The Book of Romans talks about What if some don't believe, Does it make the word of none effect. God forbid let every man be a liar and God word be true. Acts 2:38 is the fulfillment of Matthew 28:19. You have to have an throurgh understanding of whom Jesus really is. Father, Son, Holy Ghost are TITLES. For example, father to your children, son to your parents, and you have spirit being on the inside of you. It's all connected to ONE individual. The whole Book of Acts talks about baptism in Jesus Name. There is No power in titles. The power is in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Apostolic "Jesus Only" Churches have been at odds with COGIC concerning baptism every since the Azusa Street Revival meeting. However, I grew up in the Apostolic Church. Matthew 28:19 is the great commission that describes Jesus through titles of office. You have to know the who the name of the father, son, holy ghost is referring to. However, the Name of the Father, Son, Holy Ghost is JESUS CHRIST. JESUS IS THE WORD! When he took it to the Book of Isaiah it still described JESUS! He cut himself up, and didn't realize it. When he mentioned Isaiah it helps strengthen the Apostolic doctrine concerning the Baptism in Jesus Name. Question: What is his Name? What is his Name? What is his Name? Matter of fact what is your name? Your name is not father, son, or holy ghost. The fact of the matter is that it is no way around the Name of JESUS CHRIST. I disagree with his analogy of Baptism from an Apostolic standpoint. There is no record that said that the Baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus was wrong and that it was only an account in scripture. He added to God's Word. If anything they actually witnessed the true Baptism and that was in the name of Jesus Christ. The Father, Son, Holy Ghost baptism is wrong. I will not argue with those concerning Baptism titles due to ignorance of the Word of God. However, the change comes with the Name of Jesus Christ! It's just not the same without the Name of Jesus Christ! Colossians 3:17 - Whatsoever ye do in Word or Deed do it ALL in the Name of the Lord Jesus. The greatest example of Baptism in Jesus Name was when John Baptized Jesus himself. This was a powerful example. I would say that their is no need to argue concerning baptism because if you don't change your lifestyle and live Holy afterwards no matter how you went down in Water; Hell would possibly be your home anyway.

The greatest lie ever told by Trinitarians is that the Apostolic doctrine accepts just Jesus Christ but denies God and the Holy Ghost. We believe that Jesus is the father, son, and Holy Ghost. Jesus is all. It's not 3 distinct persons, but only 1. We believe you must tarry for the Holy Ghost until God gives it to you with fire speaking in tongues as the spirit gives utterance. I stand proud to say that I have been Baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Its power the Name. It's the Name of Jesus that carry ALL authority. At the Name of Jesus every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess that he is Lord. The Baptism in the Name of Jesus is right. Everybody don't know who Jesus really is and the manifestations of Jesus Christ! If you believe in the Trinitarian doctrine I will never say that you are not saved. However, in order to receive the Fullness of the Godhead the Baptism in Jesus Name is right, because Jesus represents all 3 in 1. When you say in the name of the father, son, holy ghost and they all make 1. That one you talking about that it makes is JESUS CHRIST. Trinitarians say it all of the time, but they still don't understand the "ONENESS" in which they state out of their own mouths. I agree that God was in Christ. The scripture also records that I referring to JESUS CHRIST and my father- GOD are one. Not 3 but 1! Meaning the SAME exact and together. You cant go wrong with the Name of Jesus in Baptism. Acts 2:38 is the fulfillment of Matthew 28:19 the Great Commission put in ACTION.

@@joshuaphillips7197 we and our forefathers have cheapened the discussion to being about baptism when the true debate is Trinity verses oneness. I believe in the Trinity because Jesus himself believed in the Trinity. I am honestly confused about who apostolics believed the Jesus of the Bible was, because he certainly didn't preach the apostolic doctrine. I would love to be apart of the apostolic Church but the red writing in my Bible won't let me. This is why I have always said the COGIC is the true Jesus only church. Because we stick to what Jesus said. When I stand before God I want the peace of mind that I did exactly what Jesus said to do.

I respect what you believe even though I don't agree with because of what the scripture says. However, throughout the bible it mentions ONE from old to new testament scriptures. Apostolic do believe in the father, Son, and holy Ghost. However, the true interpreted belief is that these TITLES are mere manifestations or representations of the One and only true and living God which is Jesus Christ our Lord. When we stand before God it's going to be One not Three. It is ironic that we all know that their is only One devil with many demons. However, some Christians ponder on the issue that their are THREE. If it takes 3 to defeat only 1 devil then this would mean that the devil is more powerful than the almighty true and living One God. I hear a lot of Trinitarians say in the name of the father, Son, holyghost and they all make ONE. That 1 that you are talking about that all three of these manifestations is Jesus Christ. Trinitarians quote this all of the time yet they don't understand really what they are saying. I know a lot of Trinitarian church now who are baptizing in the name of the father, Son, holyghost then on the end they say in JESUS name. There have been debates for years who right and who wrong. At the end of the day we better know God for ourselves. I know him to exist in singularity with many manifestations. Perhaps you know God in plurality with three distinct formalities. Nevertheless, we can debate all day long about Christian doctrine, divinity, and the diety of God. There is no other Name whereby men should be saved that at the Name of Jesus every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess that he is Lord. Collosians 3:17 says ,Whatsoever we do in word or deed do it all in the Name of Jesus. Baptism is a deed in which is apart of the process of salvation. The Apostolic church study Matthew 28:19 The great commission all the time. Subsequently, Acts 2:38 is the true fulfillment of Matthew 28:19. And Ephesians 4:4 One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism. Another thing that I hear Trinitarians quote is the scripture that there are THREE that bear record in heaven. Yes, but it still will reference back to the One true and living God, Jesus Christ our Lord. In addition, Genisis Chapter 1 the great debate is when God said let (US) make man. Some say he was referencing the angles and others argue it was other Gods. I also want to mention that the Holy Ghost is not a distinct God. It is the spirit of God or comforter, our power which come from the same One and true living God. The son is Jesus Christ and the flesh form of God, our savior, Lord, and King. Father is God but he is a spirit and they that worship him must worship him and spirit and in truth. The miraculous birth was God impregnated a virgin name Mary, coming in flesh form as Jesus Christ. The bible then references his name as EMMANUEL interpreted "GOD Is With Us"!

Great song. Late Bishop totally wrong on Baptism. Absolutely no record of anyone baptized in the three titles in scripture. Albeit, great number of souls baptized in the name of Jesus. I was born into COGIC and glad my mother later went to the Pentecostal church.
