Get it right. Priests are allowed to bless individuals...not couples. CATHOLICS condemn the sin, not the sinner. Don't approach the topic before understanding the Catholic doctrine

I am not an expert in the doctrines of the Catholic Church although we have our Catechisms that helps us understand our Faith and doctrine. Regarding on the letter my dear Bishop I've read it and it was clear that it states the blessing is not part of the Sacrament of Matrimony it is a Blessing of Mercy without a Canonically formula not like the blessing of the house or baptism of a baby that has its own formula, the blessing the Pope is referring it is a own words blessing by the priest or bishop that the Holy Spirit will guide the same sex couple to correct their mistake according to the Catholic Doctrine. I hope out of respect when you read the letter you did not stop at part written about the blessing the same sex couple and directly assume and concluded it is the same as the sacrament of matrimony. I hope you finished the entire letter. Regarding on the Jurisdiction part he is the successor of St. Peter who holds the keys of authority that Jesus Christ has given when he built his one church and he never said to duplicate the keys to another.
