Bishop Earl Jerome Wright was yet on the General Board, seated on the platform before the quadrennial election two days later, when he was defeated. The convocation was voted on to move to St. Louis during the April Call Meeting in 2009. The last convocation in Memphis was in November 2009. The convocation moved to St. Louis in 2010.
