Each day this fight draws nearer I am becoming more confident that Volkanovski will win. Two weeks ago I was like, "It's gonna be a close fight". Now I'm thinking Topuria's chances are slim to none. Mostly because I watched some tape on Topuria. He has potential, and I love his arrogant confidence. He has star potential, but no... not good enough to beat The Great Volkanovski. Not this time.

how does he beat him? all I hear is that Volk is going to tire him out and expose his gas tank, but that just ignores how smart and conservative he was fighting Emmett. Its not going to boil down to fatigue, its going to be down to who can own the octagon and boxing. Leg kicks aren't going to factor like they did with Max, Topuria is well prepared. Meanwhile Volk was a total drunk leading up to the Islam fight, says literally all you need to know about his mental preparedness for this fight. Dude is getting exposed this weekend.

Volk lands 6.2 strikes per minute at a 57 percent accuracy clip, and uses a ton of feints and movement. Topuria will not be able to fight Volk the same way he fought Emmet, Volk sets his shots up better, throws far more volume, and throws a larger variety of strikes. Topuria won’t have the physical strength advantage to wrestle Volk if he starts losing on the feet either, and Volks volume increases in the later rounds. Not saying Topuria can’t win, but if we get vintage Volk, this is a tougher stylistic match up for Topuria than it is for Volk.
