There's a reason for this getting such a big reaction out of him. Alex's brother was murder when he was in his 20s. The implication that he doesn't look after his younger sister hits closer to home for him. He didn't just move her to the US WITH him, he made sure that they were living in the same city and training in the same gym. Those are not the action of a neglecting person.

Alex should have talked to the reporter or his sister before venting to the public. It's possible the sister specifically requested not bringing Alex up in the conversation or he may have asked that exact question and she requested it be cut to increase public sympathy. It's arrogant to presume you know anything about anyone in the public sphere in regards to their personal life. Regardless of how people feel about Alex, you don't know anything about him beyond what has been shown. The same goes for his sister and also the reporter. People are so quick in this community to assume something negative or positive about a fighter or media member based on nothing and then just run with it full force. I'm not saying anything good or bad about Alex, his sister or the reporter...because I literally have nothing to go on. Even if you personally know Alex and his Sister, you don't know what their specific conversations are behind closed doors. It's frankly none of our business either. My problem is Alex not talking to the reporter to find out why he did not ask nor did he ask his Sister why she did not mention it. He's acting like a child here because he is concerned about his public image and could be potentially ruining somebody else's life because he ran to the podium before he actually talked to the people. This is why you don't vent to people until you calm down and know all the details.
