From the reffing course there 5 type of knockout/downs. Falling forward is a bad one but yeah if it’s a straight punch you’re out Curtis was head kicked from the side so he fell sideways and spun forward to brace himself so his conscious and he was getting up. It was a bad call the time has nothing to do with it. Mark Smith is quite a lucky ref and generally doesn’t have many decisions to make. What I thought was an interesting talking point was the groin shot. Curtis parried the shot into his own cup. Should or shouldn’t it be stopped then? Similar to if I jump into someone’s guard and I hit my groin on their knee would it be stopped then. 🤷‍♂️

i’m so glad Kopylov won. Specifically because of the commentary, including yours. You guys were acting like Curtis was about to finish him. He was never a sitting duck. The whole time he was fighting and landing. It’s just because he got cut in the second round that he looked like he was more hurt than he was. But I thought he was winning the entire fight.

Wrong. It is the refs job to know when there’s one second left. At the end of every round, the ref preps to separate the fighters and send them to their corners.
