Bisscute. Once again,. I highly recommend you watch the video and hear the studio version. The legendary, late great Jeff Beck played a powerful solo on the studio version. Plus, the video shows scenes from the movie that will make the song make more sense. This is just my very small, humble opinion from a New Jersey "cowboy." I am a huge Bon Jovi (Bongiovi) fan and I bought this album as soon as it came out.
@lewistasso8866 Жыл бұрын

I couldn't agree with you more. Bon Jovi has been my favorite band since I was 15 in 1983. That's the year they came out. They were just special from the beginning. I think every aspect of my life has a bon Jovi song attached to it. It was my bumper music when I had a political radio show, we weren't born to follow is how I opened my show. He has an incredible voice, and yes his vocal cords are damaged and he had to have surgery to repair them. I don't know how he's doing now but I do know they put a new album together. I have seen them in concert five times, had tickets for a sixth one but ended up not being able to go. I got stranded in Texas and just couldn't get out, my fuel pump went out on my Camaro 18 miles before I got to New Mexico. But at least it was insured and under warranty. But I missed the concert because of it. In Pullman Washington at Washington State University, my then-fiance and I drove from Montana, me from Great falls all the way up to Kalispell to pick her up and then down to Spokane. And then the next day we drove to Pullman to watch the New Jersey tour. We had great tickets about 10 ft away from the stage and Jon Bongiovi sang I'll be there for you to my ex-wife. It absolutely made her day. The greatest performance I ever saw him do was letting Richie sambora sing the previous song while he cooled off. The lights went down and a spotlight came up where center ice was at the arena we were watching it at. And it was John with a headset on. He didn't want to hold a microphone because he held his hands out as wide as he could and walked from center eyes to the stage, singing bed of roses and touching as many of his fans as he could along the way. He walked for the entire 3 minutes or so that the song played touching every fan he could reach. It's still brings tears to my eyes knowing that he loves his fans as much as we love him. I love your reactions to bon Jovi, because it's like seeing them again through my teenage eyes as I fell in love with them. There were a lot of people who hate them because of how popular they are, but they are popular because they are just tremendously talented. It's a shame that Richie sambora's drug use and lack of dependability caused him to have to leave the band. But the lead singer who followed after Rick Emmett left triumph is now his lead guitarist and backup lead singer. Anyway, I love when you do my favorite bands. You are awesome and I enjoy you very much. You have been one of my favorites since I got covid 4 years ago this month and barely survived. You have helped carry me through these 4 years of slow, slow, slow recovery.

You don't have to apologize for liking Jon Bon Jovi. He's a great guy. Great human being too. He's married to his high school sweetheart. I grew up listening to him, and lived not far from where he grew up. This song is part of a sound track from the movie Young Guns 2. I've seen him live a few times, and he does a good job young and old. Yes, he's a bit diminished now, but that has more to do with him not keeping as fit as he should. Many older singers extend their performance quality by keeping in great shape. Performing 6 concerts a week with energy and vigor takes it out of you. Here's one of my great celebrity experiences. I was at a club watching a "cover band". I was trying to get a bartender's attention to order some beers for my friends and myself. So this guy next to me is also competing for the bartender's attention, but the bartender is ignoring us because it was very busy. I know that the bartenders don't like when you rest an elbow on the cash register so I knew that would get his attention. So when I did the bartender asked me to get my elbow off the register, and I ordered 3 beers. The guy next to me said I see the trick. I turned my head and it was Jon Bon Jovi. I was like WTF!!! He was with 2 other guys. I always thought Jon was taller, but he was a lot shorter than me. I guess it was his big hair that made him look taller on stage. Ha Ha! I had long hair back at that time, so he knew I had to know who he was, and he shook my hand and introduced himself. So I offered to buy 3 more beers for Jon and his 2 friends. Jon said no thanks, and insisted he buy me and my friends our beers instead. So I said yes of course. We talked music for about an hour, and then the band played one of his songs. Wanted Dead or Alive. Jon asked me if I thought if the band would mind if he joined him on stage. I said they'd be crazy not to let him on stage. It was a great night. We got a free Bon Jovi concert. A lot of musicians aren't that friendly. He was. He still lives close to where I live and hangout. So I've seen him around a few times in the wild since then. This Thursday I will see my favorite singer of all time (Geoff Tate) in Jon's neighborhood. I wouldn't be surprised if Jon was going to be there if he is around. Great job as always.

I know plenty of people have said this because it’s an obvious comment but I need to throw in my 2 cents. This was Jon Bon Jovi’s first solo album and it was also the soundtrack for Young Guns 2, which he had a small role in. Anyways, my 2 cents is that this album is one of my favorites of all time because it’s great from top to bottom. You can just press play and enjoy. I hope some day you check this album out and then we can discuss your favorites. Mine is Billy Get Your Guns. Okay ciao for now.

The "problem" with Bon Jovi is that they performed more concerts than any other in the Planet in relation to the length of the career. Their old songs are very demanding vocally. This has taken a heavy toll on Jon's voice. Bruce Springsteen once told Jon he was crazy. Anyway, apparently, Jon recently sustained a surgery on vocal chords. We will see...
@nancywengert730111 ай бұрын
Jon is working with a vocal coach to get his voice back to its former glory after the surgery. Their songs were very demanding to sing for decades, very hard on the vocal chords.

Jon was always known as a very good singer, and could carry a great tune even without all the tricks that a microphone and hidden tech backstage can fix. It was just recently that his voice just gave out on him. This all makes you happy, but for us, it has a sadness. I was in high school all through the 80s (7th-12 was 1982-1988) Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Journey, Chicago, Def Leppard, and Huey Lewis were all part of the soundtrack.
@newjersey74 Жыл бұрын
So glad we have one more fan of this great band. Unfortunately most of the singers from 80's are far from their best years but that is life and I guess it is impossible to maintain your body, muscles, throat etc. in the same position forever unless you are not human. We are still lucky that they are still together as a band and making music. Those London concerts were great and I think every song from that night was performed really well.

I saw them on this tour. It was my third time seeing them in two years. If I remember correctly, they originally announced two Wembley Stadium dates (Fri and Sat) and demand was so high they added a third date on the Sunday. From what I have seen on here, this is from the third night and I saw them on the Saturday. This was quite a big show too as Van Halen (Hagar version) were also on the bill. I first saw them in 1993 at Wembley arena. This was just after Keep the faith came out. Faith was their "comeback" album as they had been on hiatus for a few years while Jon and Richie worked on their first solo albums. Jon's first solo album was Blaze of glory, which this song came from, and was the soundtrack to Young guns 2. When they came back for Faith the whole music scene had changed with the rise of grunge and they were not sure whether they would still have the same popularity they had before. In the USA they lost quite a few of their audience and the album was not quite as successful as the previous two, but in the UK they were still massive, hitting #1 again. When the tour was booked though they went relatively low key as they were not sure what to expect. Where as normally they would play massive stadium sized events like Wembley Stadium or Milton Keynes Bowl, they opted for smaller venues like Wembley Arena. The response from fans was so massive that they came back only a few months later and did a headlining show at Milton Keynes bowl with Billy Idol in tow. Just over a year later from the Arena gig (summer 1995) they came back and did the Wembley stadium shows, and as I say, the tickets flew off the shelves and they had to add the extra date. To this date, even with the weaker output and band member changes, they still keep selling well over here.
