Bissell Crosswave vs Tineco Vacmop (Which is Best??)

NOTE: The Tineco shown in the video is incorrectly labeled. It's the Tineco Floor One S3 Cordless Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner - this one - amzn.to/3nbWjtw (this is an affiliate link) with smart tech. The IFloor 3 doesn't have the smart tech, voice (you can turn on/off but it tells you when it's time to refill the clean water, empty the dirty water, clean, etc), app or high tech display. It comes with 1 brush, the Floor One comes with 2. I think it's worth it but both are great machines. The clean/dirty water holders are interchangeable, same with the brushes. The S3 has a black body and the IFLOOR 3 is white.

I have had the Bissell crosswave max for about 11 months. Absolutely LOVE it and have only had to buy replacement rollers once because I learned to deep clean them. Recently, the sprayer on my Crosswave stopped working. I followed all troubleshooting suggestions to no avail. I emailed Bissell and they are sending me a new one as well as allowing me to keep the old one for parts. Awesome customer service!

Thank you for replying. Yes, I use the bissell cleaner and fill it to the indicated line. I have luxury vinyl, and I am not sure if it shouldn’t be used on that flooring, but the amount of soap residue after I clean is a lot. So. Let me ask what may be a silly question when using the machine a forward motion releases the chemicals and a backward motion over the same area dries the area? Please correct me if I am wrong as I want to make sure I am also using the machine properly. Thanks again.

After this review, I went with the Tineco Floor One S3, loved it for 3 weeks, then had to return it due to water leaking. I then got the Bissell Crosswave in this video, and I prefer it because it’s more durable with a better build, and the clean water tank doesn’t need to be refilled as often, and it’s so much easier to clean (the strainer in the dirty water tank is better designed and catches all of the gunk, and I can clean that part off in one swipe of a tissue, rather than with the Tineco’s strainer which is half the size and things like hair gets caught in it, plus the Tineco’s strainer doesn’t actually catch all of the gunk, so you have to filter through it twice when pouring out-it really became a source of frustration for me when cleaning since I had to empty out the DWT in the Tineco 3 times during a 30 minute period. With the Bissell, I only have to clean the DWT once at the end of a 30 minute cleaning session). I also tried the cordless Crosswave X7, and liked that one as well for the same reasons. Plus, the Bissell doesn’t constantly talk to you, so that’s less annoying (I know you can shut it off with the app, but I didn’t want to take the time to download the app to do that.)

@@HamzaKhan-uc5zo I did not like the Bissel hf3 when I tried it because it used up more cleaning solution than my Crosswave Cordless Max (as shown in this video). The other reasons were because in the hf3 I received, the water had to be filled sideways (odd design), had to be refilled more often, and while using up more cleaning solution did not clean my kitchen floor as well as the Crosswave Cordless Max! I found that emptying the DWT was also about the same as the Tineco, and I think it's becuse the hf3 was modeled after the Tineco. If you're deciding between the Bissell hf3 and Tineco, I think Tineco is better and more satisfying ... I just don't know how long the Tineco will last, as I hear that the longevity with that machine isn't great.

@@BeginnerVille Hmm, interesting ... My Bissell Crosswave cordless max (like the one in this video) always took about 5 minutes for the floor to dry. I also happen to keep the trigger button (that releases cleaning solution) pressed down the whole time. But if you feel your machine isn't working as well as it used to, and if it is under warranty, you can get a replacement machine and see if it improves. (I got mine from Best Buy and purchased their store's extra warranty.)

I bought the bissell & returned it. It left a lot of streaks & just made a mess. I recently purchased Tineco & found it to be far superior. The latest version has suction only as well, so is a great improvement. In Australia the tube on is more expensive but I think worth it.

I’ve been using the Bissell for three years and have never had streaking. Floors are always spotless. The Bissell also comes with different rollers. One for timber floors, one for tiles and concrete flooring and one for rugs.

For me… the Bissel is a no brainer. I have hardwood floors throughout my home along with area rugs. I love being able to refresh them when I do the floors! I love the brush options available and the cleaner solution makes the house feel fresh without a lot of scent. I’m quite happy with my purchase and excited for the time I’m saving.

It will change your life! Just be sure to thoroughly clean the tank, take out the brush roller and clean behind it, and use the brush to clean under the dirty water tank. There will be a lot of pet hair that can clog the pipe where the water comes out.

I've owned the Tineco S5 and the cordless crosswave... Tineco hands down is my favorite! With wood floors and tile throughout our home, Tinco leaves much less water behind, I purchased it after my crosswave because I would have to go back and dry my floors. Although you cannot control the water output, I have a squirt bottle if I need more.

@@aloria100 Everyone and all the reviews online show the Tineco is lighter and a bit easier to use in that way. Esp. if you have a self propelled model. They tend to have smaller water tanks, so that alone will make them lighter. Some find they prefer the sturdier build of Bissel or another competitor. Tineco seems to leave floors drier. I've seen updates in these comments. Since the video was made and the S5 Tineco came, out, they both prefer the new Tineco.

Thank you for this excellent informative review! I have the Tineco S5 Pro and absolutely love it. The main reason for my decision is that we have engineered hardwood floors and the Tinceco, leaves the floor almost dry (we use water only) I am now shopping for my daughter and her husband that have tile throughout their home. I think the Bissell"s larger water capacity and the ability to clean carpets makes that machine so much more convenient and the winner for their young Family. I bought the Bissell over the summer, when I was looking for an easy tool for mopping my tile and hardwood floors. I didn’t know about the Tineco until recently. I wanted to buy another bissell for my son and new daughter in law for their new home. I wanted to compare the two and found your video. The Bissell I bought is a plug in not rechargeable only because I have a big surface area to clean and I didn’t want to run out of power mid task. I initially had the Bissell crosswave for almost 8 months and wanted to buy another Vacmop for second home, after seeing several yutube reviews decided to go with Tineco S3, from using both I find Bissell is heavy duty and can clean really muddy places but Tineco struggles, but for day today cleaning of kitchen and normal tiled rooms ,Tineco is okay and self cleaning of Tineco is way better .

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I think you're correct. If you have a pretty clean floor, the Tineco will keep it almost perfect. It's easy to maintain and handles most messes well. But if you have pets, kids, etc and your floors are getting quite dirty, get the Bissell.

I have to agree with all this. And the crosswave keeps mats looking like new. Tineco won’t even touch em’! I have the S5 pro and the crosswave MAX and the tineco hurts my shoulder and the crosswave is way easier to control and there’s no shoulder fatigue like the tineco.

It was the messy floor test, but even after re-doing the cleaning itself out process, his Tineco still didn't do it. But, I watched another woman and with a not as messy clean up, her Tineco cleaned itself fine with less water in the base and the Bissell cleaned itself but the base was filled with water and she chose the Tineco for that reason.

First, every surface and mess is different. In my experience, you do need to remove the roller and make sure to get gunk and hair from inside. That's what the brush accessory is for and to clean the dirty water tank. I'll let Diana speak to cleaning the Bissell. It's been too long and I can't recall and don't want to give the wrong info. The absolute best is Hizero. It separates the dry from wet messes. It captures hair and gunk in a tray that's easy to clean. You don't get a big soupy mess to clean in the dirty water tank. Just rinse off. There's no self cleaning cycle. The roller isn't made of material. I find it much better. But they all have their pluses and minuses. When they're back in stock we plan to review the Hizero.

This is Diana. The Bissell has a self cleaning mode too. I use it multiple times a day, but I a few times a week I remove the brush and do a deeper cleaning

I purchased both the Bissell Crosswave (wired) and the Tineco S5 from Costco. The only problem with the Bissell was that it left the floor too wet after use. Consequently, I returned the Bissell and now only use the Tineco. The Tineco is more suitable for my needs because it leaves the floor quite dry and clean after use. However, the Tineco does have one issue: it doesn’t have a long lifespan. According to many user experiences from China, many Tineco units malfunction after 2 or 3 years. Despite it being more expensive at Costco than on Amazon, I chose to purchase it from Costco because of their return policy, which allows me to return it regardless of how many years have passed, as long as it’s no longer working.

I have them both. I got the Tineco first and wasn’t completely happy with its ability to clean dried up dog slobber (Great Dane owner) so I tried the Bissel. I like the Bissel much better as it is much better at cleaning dried on dirt and the water tank is bigger.

I prefer the Tineco’s slimmer form factor, but I just wish you were able to manually choose if want just to vacuum or run both. I had hard floors, but the odd occasion I vacuum a rug and the couch. I also like to do a dry vacuum pass and then do a mop.

I bet that's coming. You could vacuum, mop or both. Plus a shorter charging time with a line longer run time. Still, I think it gets floors much cleaner than the old way where when you mop you're still putting dirty water back on the floor. And can't usually detach and wash the mop head.

I just ordered the Tineco. I like that the self-clean is better on the Tineco, and that it’s lighter and easier to push around. I also like that the cleaning solution is nice-smelling 😊 I have a small apartment and no kids so I think the Tineco will be perfect for keeping my floors tidy and clean. Great review!

Love this content! I hope more manufacturer's PR dept ask you to test their products from time to time. A better "real world" depiction. As the dad who does nearly all the cleaning, I totally get why this would be useful - especially if you go barefoot in your house! The feeling of a bit of fine dust or grit on your feet, though not something that grosses me out, I do appreciate the feeling of my clean floors after I've steam cleaned them. =)

I've got the Bissell Crosswave pet pro and have two cats and two dogs, all of which lose loads of hair. It's never been so easy to keep my rugs hairless and with the pet cleaning solution with febreeze they smell great for quite a long time. It's great at getting rid of crayon on floors (and carpets) too 😅 The only 'problem' is that longer hair eventually gets caught up in the bottom of the tube but is easly removed with one of those bendy brushes, so if cleaning a larger area you'll have to empty out the container and get the gunk out of the tube at least once. Still dont regret the buy, it still only takes me a quarter of the time to clean the house than it used to.

Just yesterday I purchased the force of nature machine after watching some of your other videos on cleaning mattress and I can't wait to get it and try it around my house! As for this video, I currently live with 4 other adults, and we regularly have 2 toddlers running around, so for me I think I would go with the Bissell vacmop. Just yesterday I purchased a steam mop from Bissell and my floors have never been cleaner! But I still have to pull out the broom or vacuum first. Nice to know that there are now a line of machines that are both vacuum's and mops

Great info and video. I purchased the Bissell Crosswave. The key for me was control. I want to decide how much liquid to use. I did get the corded version, because I don't want it out charging and often I takes way over 30min to do all my floors each week. I would have my husband vacuuming while I was mopping. Now either can do both!

I had watched Vacuum Wars reviews and I was leaning toward Tineco but online people complained that they can't get through a room without having to stop and do the self-clean and they have to also deal with the water before the room is clean. Plus, the solution is often not in stock at Tineco and they say that using a different cleaner will corrode the system. It is easy-peasy to find Bissell solution at local stores. That, plus the 3-year warranty versus 2-year is what changed my mind.

I am still researching it. Tineco has a 2-year warranty. Bissell has a 3-year warranty. Tineco has 300 battery cycle and you can't buy a battery once it goes dead. Bissell, you can send the machine in for a new battery but there are some places that say they sell a replacement battery for it. The average cordless vac and vacmop last three to five years, where Bissell claims 7 to 10 years with proper upkeep. The biggest thing to me is that the Tineco is a throwaway when the battery dies. Bissell, for now, there are one or two places to get the batteries. but that isn't a guarantee that they will still have the proper batteries 7 to 10 years from now.

I have a dyson cordless vacuum, which I love, because it allows me to quickly do a superficial clean, but with my bissell crosswave, I don't mind the cord at all. With the necessity to clean the water tank and roll and all, the bissell is not suited for a quick in between use anyway. My corded one was 170 dollars instead of 400 or so.

I own the original corded croswave and have had it for a few years now. I do not use it as a vacuum and only use it as a mop and it works great. Only complaint I have is cleaning it after each use is a pain. There are a lot of parts to clean and it takes up the entire drying rack.

Yes, there is a bit of cleaning to do. The bigger the messes you're cleaning up, the more cleaning you have to do after. We had to do A LOT of cleaning after these tests. But if you keep up on it (because it's so much easier I clean more often and immediately after a mess is made), it isn't as much maintenance. It still beats a mop and broom or vacuum to me!!

It isn't made for a big mess. It will take you longer to clean out the tank from your food remnants than it would to just pick.up the mess with paper towels. It looks great for dirt though!

Tineco iFLOOR and Tineco Floor One S3 are two different models. The iFLOOR is the cheapest. Tineco have 3 models, I believe Tineco Floor One S3 is the first model, and then Tineco iFLOOR, and now they have ifloor breeze which price is in the middle between S3 and iFloor

I feel like 4 hrs of charging is perfectly reasonable. Youre only going to clean the floors once maybe twice a day if you have children. All that time you aren’t using it is charging time, not to mention overnight

Thank you for your feedback and experience. We don’t have a lot of dried on messes at our house. I’ve noticed that vacuum mops struggle with that type of mess the most. Steam lifts the mess up. The only problem is steam isn’t good for vinyl plank flooring we have. Over time I can see how the edges have swollen because of the heat. This is a reminder that cleaning is individual too. What works for one person may not work for another.

You need to vacuum up clumps of dirt prior to using the water so you don’t make mud. Bissell is best for this task.

Great review I would of loved to hear about cleaning tank and how often brush and filter need to be changed . I’ve had my BISSELL for a month now and I clean after each use and brush and specially filter smell musty . I will add I remove everything each and every time to rinse and wash and still use the self cleaning afterward but I can’t seem to keep it from smelling musty .

I've just purchased the Tineco S5, which is an upgrade to the S3 displayed in this video, which boasts the following upgrades: larger water tank, edge clean (on one side) and the option to switch to vacuum only. So the ''negatives'' displayed in this video, addressed since with the upgrade done by Tineco but it is $100 more expensive than it's S3 counterpart.

Tineco has a error motor issue requiring it to be sent back to the manufacturer every 6 months. I have had both. It is a known issue if you google complaints.

Hi, I spoke to you about purchasing the Tineco unfortunately it malfunctioned the very first time I used it. it worked great while mopping. i carefully cleaned the entire vacuum carefully around the sensors, I decided to thoroughly clean each time so I could avoid any odors like I was hearing ppl complain about. it errored as soon as I placed it back on the charging dock. needless to say I spent time checking everything and finally manually pressed clean I thought I had solved a glitch. no[e it has an E1 error code. I am within my time to return and get a refund, but in case it was just a fluke I called Tineco. they apologized for a defective vacuum and told me to send it back and get another. it's quite a hassle, I have to wait a month to be refunded. so I am too afraid to take,y chances again with so many others having the same issues. oh and Tineco told me that its a issue for them nc the sensors malfunction from the water - i mean its meant to get wet during use! i wanted you to know my experience tho and I really do appreciate your help ❤

I’m so sorry to hear that! I hope that it gets resolved and saves you so much time and work that this fades into the background. No harm in asking them to throw in an extra brush roller or cleaning solution for the hassle they put you through. Based off our family and our Tineco purchases and comments here, this isn’t common. Or if more common, a newer issue. I’ve found them to be foreign (so not always the easiest to communicate with) but willing. In other words, acting in good faith. So I wish you the best and appreciate the update. If you remember to, it would be good to hear how it works out for you.

One thing I was hoping to find out is ease of taking it apart and putting it back together. Was hoping to get for my elderly family member but they both seem like they would be too complicated for her to do on her own. She may get frustrated or break it by pulling the water containers out too hard or shoving them back in before fitting it properly so I don’t think I can choose either for her unfortunately but I would love either one for myself! I personally like the Bissell because of the mop head, bigger tanks, and you can use the water when you want. But I don’t like how you have to pull the trigger each time to get the water. Overall they both seem great.

But I understand the concern and I do think it'll be a little complicated for your family member. But it's so much easier on their back and body to push it. The newest Tineco the S5 is easier to remove and put in the water tanks than the Tineco in this video. Hope that helps.

My Tineco stopped charging properly. I have to pick it up and set it back down on the base over and over for 10-15 minutes to get it to charge. I decided to order the crosswave and it came in today. I’m going to return it. The Tineco puts down water automatically and evenly whereas you have to push the button to release water on Bissell. It doesn’t wash evenly. I’ll be shipping it back this weekend and I just ordered a replacement battery for my Tineco. Wish me luck replacing it. 😬

Forget the mess test with eggs and such...Just use a few paper towels for crying out loud!! We want to know which does a more spotless job, and DEEP cleaning. Which gets grooves and such clean better? Why dont you 2 SWAP the cleaners for a week, and then see what your reactions are?!! Looks like the Tineco does better with dust and loose dirt, and maybe the suction is better, while the Billel has a more aggressive brush action and bristels for cleaning residue...Residue is what most floors need on a routine cleaning basis. Now to compare to steam mops!! LOL. Loved your Duo review!!!!
