We actually bought this for my son when he was 18mos old. For some reason he loves vacuuming, but he was too small to use the full size shark. He's 2 now and still vacuums with it as part of his daily play - just don't attach the handle extension and it's the perfect height for a toddler. 👍

My mom got an old version of this for me in 10 years ago when I started college. It was great and my dorms had have tile and half low pile carpet. It worked wonders and when I came home, my mom used it because it was so light. They have hard floors at their house after removing the carpeting. So it’s perfect for my parents even thought they have a foldable shark rocket with the soft brushroll. The cord could be longer, slightly better filter, and a bigger capacity, but then it would get into the $40-$50 range probably.

I have two of these for hand held use and find them excellent. They are older models and have lasted well as I don't use them often. One I use daily for cleaning up my pet guinea pig pen. It works great picking up poops, hay and uneaten vegetable bits. On the model I have the dust filter stays on the vac when you remove the dust cup so this is easy to empty and then I brush the filter off after every use. This little vac is great for what I need it to do, and I would imagine it does really well on hard floors. I'm wishing for some canister reviews as I am looking to purchase one.

I picked up a Eureka Blaze 3-in-1 and a handheld Bissell Pet Hair Eraser to clean my home. We have a TON of long pet hair and 95% hard floors, so a bare floor tool with no roller was a must. I found that the only bare floor tool options come on very cheap vacuums or very expensive ones, certainly no cordless options. I'm really happy with how this combo performs. I got a 12ft extension power cord to plug into it and that lets me do entire floors of the house in 1 plug. The Bissell is super good for pulling up hair from mats, rugs, and for doing dusting.

Hi, I love your channel, would you please do a test for top vacuum for shag carpet? I could not find anything on your channel for this and would love to hear your advice. There's two rugs that I have in mind one is the rug we have (SAFAVIEH Milan Shag Collection SG180) and the other is very similar only the California version instead of the Milan. Both rugs are very popular on Amazon and both have very high pile I believe about 2". We originally ordered the California shag but had to return it because it kept getting caught in our vacuum the pile is much less dense. The Milan rug is what we currently have and we use the Kirby to clean it. We actually just bought the shark vertex pro thanks to your videos as the Kirby is too heavy for every day use. But I would love to see how your test would come out if you introduced a high pile shag rug. Thanks so much.

At under $40 you can't complain too much, I would never recommend this as a main machine but more of a supplemental machine to your main machine. Even if all you have is hard floors I'd spend the extra money on something that has a longer cord and can filter better. Only way I would consider this as a main machine is if you had no pets, no kids and really no more then 2 people living there and you're in a small house or apartment with all hard floors and maybe an area rug. Otherwise I'd suggest you get something truly built for your needs not necessarily the cheapest machine you can find as that doesn't always fit your needs. I couldn't tell you how many times someone walked into my store disappointed because they bought the cheapest machine they could find and it doesn't meet their needs or expectations and they end up trading in for something else.

I have a Miele and absolutely no regrets, yes they are spendy but as you have learned you get what you pay for. They are among the quietest and best filtration machines on the market I would avoid shark or any bagless (except quick pickup machines) like the plague sharks for one have the worst warranty out there. If you have to use the warranty for any reason (the more expensive sharks have slightly better warranty) what they don't tell you is once you get a replacement shark not only is it a refurbished model but your warranty from then extends only 6 months from the day you receive the machine or the remainder of that warranty whichever comes later, so you essentially do not get a warranty on the new unit they sent you to replace the defective one you bought in the first place. I have a hard time believing this guy a lot of the time especially when he says the best overall vacuum is a bagless, yet he compares many good bagged machines that outperform and out clean virtually everything else he's tested. Bags are the first line of defense against allergens, mold spores, dander, pollen, voc's and other airborne toxins. And I mean a good sealed machine that uses a high quality cellulose HEPA bag, not talking about that old school Electrolux or Eureka/Sanitaire your grandma had with the paper bags that never really filtered that great to begin with. Bagless relies on seals and gaskets to trap dirt and over time they fail from all the pressure being put on them, they get dirt caught in those seals causing the seal to fail and the dirt to escape and as a result you did nothing in terms of cleaning, and you end up breathing that in and go to empty a bagless without going outside or coughing each time you dump that container, why on earth is this promoted as a better cleaner system when reality says it's not? These machines claim to be all floor cleaners when the plastic wheels they have will scratch your hardwood floors. I do suggest you go ahead and ask a flooring installer why they don't recommend shark, Dyson, Bissell or basically any store bought machine, or even ask why any reputable vacuum shop (not target or walmart) or even an allergy doctor why they don't like bagless machines.
@svenskbonbon2 жыл бұрын
@@jhomrich89 Good to know, thanks! Definitely, I'm going to buy a Miele (not now but one day). Vacuums are not that popular in my developing country LOL, so most people don't have a vacuum or they buy 40-dollar ones, that's what we can afford. Electronics and electrical appliances tend to be very expensive here. For example, I bought the V8 last year for $700 (on sale). I wanted a Miele but I found only two reliable distributors in my country. I am not a fan of Dyson in general but I thought it would be easier to find tutorials and spare parts in case something goes wrong after the warranty period, as it is a popular item. I found the channel Performance Reviews a bit too late, so I get your point. Bagless vacuums are not that good according to technicians. I feel Vacuum Wars is honest and does a great job, but he has a different approach: He used to have a cleaning company. I've seen several homemakers on KZbin who use and recommend the Shark Navigator and just two who have talked about Miele. I guess for homemakers, it's expensive to buy bags often plus if it gets stolen/damaged, it's harder to replace because of the price. I think he mostly reviews popular brands because that's what the average person wants and this generates views. People who are into vacuums buy a great one and use it for the next 20 years, so those are not his potential viewers.

Hello, I have been looking for information on vacuum cleaners for several days, but even half of the characteristics and descriptions are not on the official sites. I saw that you have been using the models I choose from for a long time, can you clarify with you about them? I choose between Jet 75/90 and dyson 11/15 extra. Is it worth taking the risk and considering the Samsung? From the looks of it, the Samsung seems to have cheaper materials and build quality than the Dyson. They also say that Dyson has a better quality of operation, and less breakdowns happen? Again, the Dyson 15 extra has a little more power than the 11 extra by 20, but I like the color more on the 11, does it have any other significant differences? The Samsung jet 90 is slightly larger than the jet 75, and there is a docking station, is that basically all the differences? And I can’t understand how the jet 90 differs from the jet 90 extra, according to my guesses, it just comes with an additional baratea right away, but as if there is more flask in the extra? Thanks for the answer.
