steam is cool for odors and freshening things up, but stain removal is typically down to the cleaning chemicals, scrubbing, and suction

The hydro steam had less smearing on its side and its nozzle is a lot wider. I do wonder which machine emits hotter water. I have been wanting the steamer but read reviews that the steam is not hot enough

I just got a hydrosteam - the steam isn't that hot IMO - if you put your hand up to the steam, it's really only kind of hot right where it comes out of the nozzle
