bucket > detergent > HOT water > rag > big old towel (or wet/dry vac) > elbow grease

Feels like those steps needed a normal vacuum first to remove the loose dust and carpet fibers before you used the wet vac

I've only used it once. I didn't experience leaking problems, but that seems to be a common complaint. The suction isn't all that good, and on a full charge, it only seemed to last 30 minutes which isn't alot of time considering it takes forever to get the excess water out (bc weak suction). Maybe there's some user error/high expectations on my part. I'll try again, but I really want to return it atm.
