Great video. This solved my problem. So much more informative than Bissell's video which doesn't mention cleaning anything and to just says to buy new parts and see if that works.

Excellent video. I used my machine 2 times and it worked perfectly, went to clean the carpet today to find no spray output. I wasn't able to figure out the cause by looking at it, or from the videos Bissell has either. I found this video and it fixed the issue. I was under the impression the sprayer was powered, I didn't realize it was gravity fed. Makes sense it can clog so easily. A tip I just figured out while cleaning my machine this time, if you hit the latch to allow the machine to pivot (as if you were using it), it lets the brush roll pivot down, making it easier to access the jets and clean the brush area.

Thanks a lot! I will try that later on. I had this problem and there was really no good video on KZbin or anywhere else really. So once I figured it out I knew I had to make one incase someone else was having the same problem. Glad our video was able to help.

I’d try to get some air through it. Maybe a vacuum hose to suction anything out. Hope you were able to get it.

What can I do if I take the tank off and press the lever to see if the water is going down tubes but it’s not. I’ve searched everywhere including bissells website and can’t find a solution with that being the issue 😔

Mine has a dirty film in that clear crevice. I’ve soaked it, used foaming bubbles, tried to get bottle brush down! No luck. How can I clean it??? That’s how I can tell if sucked up everything! Help!

Sorry for the delay. When you press the trigger is the water going down? If so, I’d think it’s not spraying due to the pump not functioning so the water is essentially just falling out of the bottom and not spraying. If the water isn’t going down you likely have a clog. If you have a wet vac I’d recommend holding down the trigger to open the value (the hole I added the water to in vid) and putting the vacuum hose over the hold to form the best suction you can and hopefully remove anything stuck. If it’s pretty dry you could probably get away with a regular vacuum hose. Also remember the bottom of the tank where I put the popsicle stick into? Make sure everything is dry and then put the full tank on the carpet cleaner. Pull the trigger and hold it. Remove the tank and see if the area the tank releases the water into (where you earlier put the vacuum hose) is relatively we and that the trigger was actually working and opening the valve on the tank and releasing the water. Last pt everything together properly and fill it with water and just pull the trigger to ensure water isn’t coming out at all. If it’s coming out with little force it could be the pump like I was saying earlier. Let me know anything else and maybe I can help further. Good luck!!

@@Kazerone1 Thank you. It was something hinky going on with the clean water tank. I'm ASSUMING o-ring and or gasket. I replaced the tank and it works fine now.

wow - if only it were do simple as this. it is my sisters and of course there was NO maintenance. so it was filthy lol I took it apart [yes it had never been cleaned] scraped & blew off the excess. [wow there was a red thing under the dust] :o the rest I did as you show and it drained great. :) sadly the bottle on there wont spray. So I checked the bottle and it was working fine off the machine. I again tested the machine drain & it works fine, but with the bottle it wont even drip (?) hmm The bottle will drip when I apply a lot of pressure on it. so gotta push on the bottle for it to work. I like the pump spay much better. gravity like this one only works if Everything is like its supposed to be. just need another person to press on the bottle. lol yes I tested the cap and at varying tightness, just to stop any leaking & its just the way it is. glad its not mine. prolly a previous user error Im just not finding. ;)

Hmm…that sounds really weird. Check inside the bottle too and make sure nothing is clogging from inside. Sometimes residue/film builds on top of the clean water and then it sinks down and clogs the nozzle from inside. Hope you get it.

@@Kazerone1 yes I checked the bottle - it was clean & flowed great [off the machine] I did get it to dribble just a bit without pressing it and finnished the carpet. it gleaned well, :)

Mine is doing the same thing. Even when I press down on the top container I get no spray. I have an older bissel that will spray but won't suck so I have to use one to spray and one to suck. Smh.

Wait so it’s the hose clogged for the attachment? You can try a vacuum, might work. If you have access to a shop vac it’s better. If you can put the shop vac hose in the part that blows out use that to clear the clog. If not a metal hanger straightened out may work.

Is that the clear piece at the bottom. I’d soak that piece and keep tapping it on the floor lightly. It can take a while to work things out of that piece.
