After making the wall with default window, just click outside of the wall. Then click on the window only. Then delete it.

Hi, Thank you for the question. I do not think one can make a partition without disrupting the window only if there is a gap between the partition wall and the window surface. If the partition wall touches the wall with a window, it will divide it into two. At best, You can try to minimize the area between the two separate zones to minimal to make it a seemingly single window. The dotted internal line is the thickness of the wall material. How do you place columns and beams for construction?

Hi, the dynamic building physics simulation platform such as Designbuilder and Energyplus does not require to build column and beams in the model. From my personal experience, the impact of simplifying the column and beam into direct walls are very small. It also helps to reduce error and make the simulation quicker. I hope this answers your question.

How can i model a building elevated on stilts?

My suggestion would be to create a component block with the height of the stilts and area of the building. Then create the building model on top of it. When you are done with the building, delete the stilts block. That should do.

Ur tutorial was very useful for me and I have one doubt How to add the new location template for cold regions ? weather data is available in the energy plus website but for that weather file how to add location template values or how to update it please help me with this problem...

Hi. Thank you for the comment. As far as I can understand, you want to add a new location weather file that is not found on the Energyplus website. In that case, you need to create an EPW file of the historical weather datasets. If you open an existing location EPW file in MS Excel, you can see the format of the data.
