You know of all the fantastic works that SimGretina put out over the years this one plays in my head the most often. In the time since they disappeared I've developed my musical tastes and explored so many new genres and musicians. The number of musicians I've loved and lost are incredible but Sim has to be one of the most impactful losses I've had. I started listening to Sim the way most of their fans did, with the pony related songs. The fanbase had no shortage of talent at the start, I was absorbed by it completely. But after a few years artists would disappear one after another to pursue non pony related work or disappearing entirely. Sim was an artist I'd revered for their insane upload schedule and the fact they'd always stuck around. Even then I knew Sim would be one of the worst to lose, because Sim I loved for their music alone, I would listen to anything pony related or not. Everything Sim made was amazing. But after half a decade now without them, I have so many questions that I wish I could ask. I'd be ecstatic to know if they had continued making music under a new name. But I'd want to know if they ever stopped making music all together, or if it was just no longer uploaded here. I'd wonder what Sim was up to if it wasn't music. I have to assume they're doing well and are happy with the life they moved on to, otherwise they'd have come back. I wonder if they're even alive. That's a whole other tragedy I'd hate to discover. I wonder too if they will ever read this, if it would make them feel anything. Maybe they'd be happy that a fan cared so much, maybe they'd be angry that people like me can't let them move on. I don't think I'll ever forget Sim though. And Sim, if you do check your accounts for comments for whatever reason, thanks for your music.

Come to think of it, I don't remember if I heard any official sources report it, it was mostly just fan gossiping when it was shown that his horn remains and a common trope is that a villain is not gone until they're entirely destroyed. So jury's out on that I guess. As for the other question, it's preference really but usually when making a villain you want them to be well spoken or not at all. The former fleshes out the character while the latter is more, well, dramatic I suppose.
