Ben, longtime supporter here-first-time commenter. I think it would be incredibly helpful if you made a video discussing how the BTC risk metric analysis applies when you're also exposed to altcoins. For example, if someone had followed the BTC risk metric in 2021 and sold at the 0.9 level, they would have missed out on an 8-10x move by altcoins that started after BTC hit the 0.9 risk level. Most altcoins rallied until May, with some continuing until November, even as the BTC risk metric dropped as low as 0.6 during that period. How would you approach using the BTC risk metric in such scenarios? Thanks for all your great content!

These patterns, similar to the last halving, feel almost too good to be true. There’s probably a trap tied to this sentiment, set up for major shorts. If the cycle breaks down, it could cause a chain reaction. Big players, like other nations or large holders, might use retail and institutional liquidity to exit on the next move, ending this cycle. Everyone wants the next leg up, but you gotta remember that crypto is still in the early stages of massive adoption IMHO. Either way, I’m invested long, not timing the cycles.

Why do you think there’s “probably a trap” on the next move(assuming you mean next move up)? Bc you think its too predictable and institutions want to break or get ahead of the trend? I agree that at some point when the trend/cycle is broken Retail will be used and rug pulled, thats expected. But why on the next move? Its possible but doesnt seem likely. At some point the cyclical patterns will come to an end, but given we expect a move up in Jan, and then likely 25-40% correction, before another move up…it just seems to be such a strange that the cycle would break this early in Jan when theres so much going for crypto. I could see an argument for Trump inauguration being a “sell the news” event, but that just feeds into the pattern of jan correction, rather than seeming like the end of the cycle. Retail has barely fomo’d yet, so strange place to rugpull when hype is just beginning.

TLDR: i agree at some point in the future we may get a major trend break in the post halving year, but i feel like 2025 would be a strange year to do that when there’s never been so much going for btc.
