Bitcoin At $1 Million By 2020 Is Still Possible And Might Be A Discount Says James Altucher

Best-selling author and former hedge fund manager James Altucher is not backing down from his $1-million-dollar bitcoin call that he boldly made back in 2017.
His timelines may be a little different however.
Altucher made the call two years ago when bitcoin was trading around $11,000, he called for the crypto to hit $1 million by 2020.
Now just one year away from that mark, Altucher said if bitcoin ends up replacing paper currency that the call is still not out of the question. “How much paper currency is out there…it’s about $200 hundred trillion dollars out in the world, and there is only about $200 billion dollars of crypto currency, so that is 100,000 percent from here. So that could give bitcoin a price of $8 million dollars, so $1 million dollars is even a discount to where bitcoin could eventually go. When it gets there, who knows,” Altucher explained in an interview on Thursday.
Over the past two months, the cryptocurrency market has seen the bitcoin price double, rallying from $4,200 to $8,600. On Thursday, bitcoin extended its rally past a new milestone, clearing the $9,000 barrier to set a fresh 12-month high to only come back down $500 dollars minutes later.
Altucher is a Top 10 LinkedIn Influencer, the author of the bestselling book “Choose Yourself” and the managing director of Formula Capital
Bitcoin last traded at $8,413.25 a coin as of 10:00 am EST on Friday. __

look btc has no place to go but...up...up...up... now i base my opinion on the following: looking at the previous charts after the prior halving events btc is preforming exactly as it did in the past...starts out slow then goes up...up and up... btc started out slow but now is gaining ground under the current halving event...the question that remains is will it continue its upward trend or not... if it does then it's following its past track records and again in my opinion will fly past 10k in this week or by next week. in that case the sky is the limit... but how high is the sky? some say 500k mcaffy believes btc will ding 1 mil by the end of 2020. my guess is if btc goes past 10k in the next week or two them a 100k-500k is a possible target for the end of 2020. that being said. i took the liberty to look into my crystal ball. unfortunately it was too murky to even acquire any forecast of btc for the remainder of 2020. i decided to give it a good shaking and a jeanie appeared inside of it. he asked me what i was doing. i replied that i was looking for a forecast of btc for the remainder of 2020. he suggested that i buy more btc because a little bird told him btc's outlook is unbelievably good. well, i thought to myself if i cant trust a little birdie then who can i trust? so if i buy more btc will i be flushing money down the toilet or investing in a ticket to the moon. i don't know. but btc seems a good bet to me. you will need to decide for yourselves.

It's true that listening to a called expert on cryptos talk about or prop cryptos makes it biased in and of itself... in the end nowadays cryptos it's just an asset class that opens the door to a tulip mania kind of investment vehicule at this point in time it's prone to attract the computer hackers knowing how to mine them or take them out the accounts ... it's probably going to be an asset class that's going to be doing what it does initially but it basically will serve as a prototype to introduce blockchain...in the end most will jump into the hype, and as most currencies and cryptos bitcoin will fall and will let place to a new tech; it will have to be that revolutionary and accepted by most types of institutions and groups for it to stay long term ... most economic actors are going to probably exploit the crypto route to a high extent but in the end will not last as for many trends prone to high tech crumble since tech evolves rapidly... the middle class will want it for a get rich quick kind of goal then most will pull out for dollars or what's most widely accepted as means of exchange, the process of bitcoin has to be stable and not volatile as well... and with governments still around a currency exchange system will still be around therefore some way or another they will find a way to get some kind of supervision over its flow and centralize it ... in the end I'm in PMS owning some cryptos very little ; it's all an illusion of virtual wealth that's mesmerizing when we hear about it but the truth is all depends on the tech and confidence peops give to what constitutes bitcoin and it's always like that in the end we realize that it wasn't that much after all but just another man made tech and all realities come back to what they really are in the end
