12:50 here are some fundamentals for bitcoin: there will only exist 21 million bitcoin, 4-6 million of that is lost, there is not enough bitcoin for EVERY millionaire in the world to own more than 0.33 bitcoin (over time this amount will decrease). If you don't want it, great, "everyone gets bitcoin at the price they deserve". If you feel you don't "deserve" any, that leaves more for someone who does.

Pat - I can't explain how a BTC national reserve would work...but gold went sideways for FAR longer periods than that when it was the reserve currency. And as a "reserve asset" pulled back almost 50% between 1980 - 1985. Maybe the so called "basket" is the way to go???

You can’t value it, so you have no rational way of buying it at any given price. If forced to assign a value it would be zero based on how you value every other investment. It is at best a very speculative investment or gambling venue. At worst a scam. It doesn’t matter to investors as it cannot be valued properly. If it cannot be valued how do you know what it is worth now much less in the future? Price and value is not the same thing.

@@DanBergman-td1uc it has an immense value to people that live in governments with higher inflation than the US, who's value of FIAT currency is eroding--even more so than the USD. It turned the economy of El Salvador around. It has an immense value to people in the US that have bought houses, started businesses, don't want to see FIAT erode their wealth in USD. Peter Schiff, for all the trash talk he has about bitcoin, is willing to take it as payment for gold, at his Schiffgold company. As for valuing it, there will only exist 21 million bitcoin, 4-6 million is lost, that leaves about 15 million bitcoin for the population. There are models such as the stock-to-flow model, look into it if you care, or don't!
