Ultimately, it doesn’t matter how much bitcoin there is. The price of bitcoin will be determined by what someone is willing to pay for it. So, we cannot say, “shouldn’t bitcoin be worth more”. No. The market decides what it is worth. In fact, you could make the argument that if those tokens were never lost, then the price of bitcoin would be much lower since those extra tokens could add more selling pressure. If demand continues to go up, however, those lost token will have an impact, because they will never will be for sale.

Can anyone explain why sovereign governments are NOT printing their own currency and using it to buy bitcoin? If they do this on the quiet, they could accumulate huge amounts of bitcoin in exchange for worthless paper?

The beauty of BTC is that since its POW instead of staking, the ETFs can own as much BTC for the people as they need and it won't affect the network security or its decentralized factor. Since controlling BTC tokens does not imply increased factor of controlling the BTC network. Unlike ETH and other staking tokens.

James , That list of Total Global Bitcoin in funds is missing a huge one . 3IQ has 2 BTC funds , and huge for canada BTCQ is not on that list .It is almost as big as Purpose and would be larger if they converted the fund into the ETF.

I know you’re not a big fan of stacks (STX) because of cost per user, lack of adoption, ect. But when it hit $1.80 today I got $500 worth. My thought process is level 2’s of ETH move faster up than ETH itself usual does (especially) last cycle. So if Bitcoin goes up I’m hoping the BRC-20 tokens will rise faster than BTC itself. Then convert the STX to BTC later on in the bull run. I’m not sure if it will work but 500 is just dipping my toe into the water.

Many folks I know are saying it! Basically their argument is this: “If Bitcoin was still going higher then it would have reached a new high in the last 10 weeks especially with all the ETF’s buying.” Most of the general public feelings this way, only crypto folks (and it’s definitely not all crypto folks) feel that bitcoin will reach new highs this cycle.

I was thinking of these ETFs tracking to actual buys/sells of investors, but this made me think ARK is investing for their fund not necessarily only external buy pressure to equate holdings to purchases....interesting.
