In the first week wearing a biteplane I feel the pressure in my jaw and yes it creates space at the back of my teeth and that will cause you to just swallow the food and can't chew the food properly. Now that 1 month has passed I have seen changes. Those teeth at the back of my mouth started touching each other. Now I can chew properly. Thanks to your explanation. 🫡

I can get it fixed with braces(we don't have to pay anything, because where I live, braces are free until you're 18) I'm thinking is it worth the pain? I'm just scared that when I am an adult, I will regret not taking the braces while they were free😖 So if you were me, would you take them?
@Yella16975 жыл бұрын
hi I would do it if I were you. I’m 22 years old and I just got my braces about 2 months ago. I wasn’t able to get braces when I was younger because they’re not free where I am, and they’re pretty expensive. It can cause some discomfort, but it’s not HORRIBLE. But it differs for each person. I think it would be a good idea to get them, you won’t regret it. You can always talk to your orthodontist if you have any questions about the whole process.

TLDR: If there is any other way, avoid these like the plague. The reality of this shit: My bite plate wasn't removable. I've been unable to speak without a lisp, bite or chew for months. It doesn't hurt, but I'd still compare it to a wisdom teeth removal every two weeks for months, because it sucks that much. I stuffed wax under it to stop the lisp, so that my colleagues and costumers could understand my speech. But if I bit on it too hard it bent and squashed the wax and the lisp was back. So I didn't bite on it at work (or if I did, I had to instantly replace the wax) making it utterly useless for at least 9-10 hours a day. Furthermore, I had to learn to swallow anything without chewing. My digestion didn't like that...

What lab do you use for your bite plates? I really like the hook that goes over the buccal tube design. Thanks!

All appliances shown in my videos are from Accutech Orthodontic Labs (www.accutechortho.com/)!

I’ve been wanting to be like an orthodontist or an orthodontist assistant and since I can’t take off my power chain or rubber bands as like practice where can I buy those teeth that have the brackets on them so I can practice putting on the color ties?

I have a question it may sound dumb sorry I just got my braces this week and the Color of my brackets(green) is starting to fade away does that mean that im brushing to hard,using the wrong type of mouth wash or is that normal. If this sounds dumb sorry lol

No such thing as a dumb question! Was it a little green dot on the actual metal part of the braces? They are just guides that fade away over time. I would suggest you show your orthodontist how you brush and he/she can let you know if you are brushing properly!! =] That's probably the best way to see if you are brushing properly
