Bitlife needs to update your career path for a footballer. They assume it's the same as going to the NBA but by the time you're an NBA Rookie, guys that age should have already had some games under their belt as a professional footballer. They should give you the option to join an academy from young age, most boys I assume join one at around 6-12 years old.

If you don’t get approached by a team straight away, you can go into jobs, then special jobs, choose football, or soccer, then u choose a team
