I often get so frustrated because I don't understand the game. Because the rules are ridiculously complex or because maybe I'm stupid. But after watching your videos, I always feel like I've learned something. Your explanations are clear and easy to understand and your videos are a lot of fun. Thanks for all of your work putting these all together. I might just keep my copy of Bitoku because of it. This a crazy, complicated game for sure. So/too much to do and so/too much happening.

Well, he didn't pronounce it in French, so it doesn't really sound like the French sentence : "Bite au cul"- Iello, who will be the French publisher for the game, jokingly said on their Facebook page, they would not change the name for the French version. Don't worry. Once you start playing the game, you quickly forget the phrase and solely concentrate on the task(s) at hand ;)

The Pilgrims look like perfect candidates for Gamer Glass upgrades. That said, I'm not sure how to cleanly depict sleeping versus awake on a more 3-dimensional piece like that.

Are the Vision cards cumulative or additive? For example, you have 4 personal path symbols, but the highest has a 2. So do you need 2 paths walked, or 4?
@rahdo3 жыл бұрын
you would need 4 :)

This game has so many components, it seems fun to play but a struggle the first few times to master or take in all the board options and combos.

52 minutes in I thought you only got the dragonfly bonus when joining as you got the lost soul bonus earlier? This is the rule: Place the two tiles together and move them off of your player board, then take the action shown on the Dragonfly tile. It does not say take the action of the lost soul (mitama)
@PauloRenato232 жыл бұрын
I'm not understanding what you are trying to say he did wrong... what do you mean by "joining"? and when you say "earlier" can you say the timestamp so I can compare and try to see what you are saying? What exactly did he do wrong? Thanks
@barrymccardle70752 жыл бұрын
You get the bonus of the lost soul when you get it (which rahdo did) and you get the dragonfly bonus only when “joining” it to a lost soul (which rahdo did) I don’t see any mistake here.

So the buildings are like Lords of Waterdeep buildings. One problem I had with LoW is when I concentrate on buildings people wouldn’t use them, so I wasted a bunch of effort and got no reward. Is that a problem in this game?
@rahdo3 жыл бұрын
well the people you play LOW with aren't playing very smartly then! player built buildings are SO much more powerful, and if they're not using them, they're leaving them wide open so you can use them. not a good move imo, but if that's how they play, i imagine the same thing will happen here, and it will be equally poor play, since it's foolish not to use the player-built buildings when you can :)

Good grief 😂… can a game literally have TOO many options per turn that it becomes a turn off? … is Bitoku Japanese for “analysis paralysis”? Would love to play this but the thought of teaching it is enough to keep me from ever buying it.
