Hi Rob, When replacing the larger type rope seal on a Grant, do you just use standard 19mm rope seal or do you use Grants own type combustion door rope...? Theirs is a much tighter rope, almost like a material rather than a traditional woven rope? Thankyou, John

Excellent info, what do you do to the frayed ends of the rope before you fit them?

I cut the rope with a very sharp pair of speedfit cutters to prevent a lot of this.i always make sure when i do the final cut once the rope is in i make it slightly longer then push the 2 ends hard together. Have a good weekend.

@@pauladventure I use proper heatproof tape around the rope and then cut it, very tidy and proper job. (As you say saves frayed ends, especially around cooker doors etc which open and close all the time) Don't ask me where to get it, I can't remember.......
