Always aim for higher goals to get in to IITs and Top NIT,s..JEE Mains/Advanced, needs more rigorous preparation, difficult questions..Keep BITs as ur Third option if u cant get in through JEE..agree that among private institutes BITS is the best.

Are you high on something ? NITs are nowhere near BITS BITS Pilani is much better choice than Top NITs Only Top IITs are better than BITS,,so aim for top IITs,,if not, BITS is best

Real advice. IITs and NITs are way more prestigious and less expensive with better placements. Bits and other private colleges are running on educational business models. If not getting IITs and NITs one may choose Bits if their parents have hefty pockets. In news papers quoting good colleges they list some IITs, some NITs, some IIITs and also some private colleges where Bits also gets a place. On this basis students of Bits trying to compare it with IITs which is not a reality. One is preparing for IITs not for bits. Bits at is a byproduct of JEE preparation.

@Well_done_IITD Nope BITS is better and more prestigious than all NITs Placements, facilities, student quality, etc BITS is better than NITs in all the aspects expect the fees

@Careers360: Excellent analysis! I would also suggest you look at the GPH data under Graduate Outcome (GO) in the Engineering category of NIRF. This is the most relevant metric for placements and higher studies. BITS Pilani has been consistently among the top 3 in the country in this metric.

What you did not mentioned which makes BITS great is there is zero reservation . So the average qualities of engineer is better than many IITS plus there is zero attendance policy .

This comparison is a fraud. He is hiding JEE advanced and selection ratio of JEE mains ( including all NITs, IIITS) is being compared with BITSAT. But trying to keep it with IITs. If you want to compare with IITs then selection ratio of JEE mains plus advanced have to be shown. Nonetheless one may get trapped in such advertising endeavors.
