Why am I often finding incorrect ESRB ratings for these titles? Most of your videos also seem to duplicating this issue. I'm assuming this sloppy oversight is a mistake as well?

For starters, Thrill Kill was one of the first AO (Adults Only) video game assigned from the ESRB but ultimately cancelled because of the "violent and sexual content" was deemed too much. >>Warpath: JP is rated T for teen >>@ 6:45 You claim Crypt Killer is M-rated when it was originally had a T rating; which you clearly proven @ 6:31 >>We know about Loaded. In your 15 Bloodiest Sega Genesis / Mega Drive Games video, your channel put ratings on games that didn't even had one to begin with since the ESRB went full swing around '93. So what's the point here: *It's Fucking Sloppy.* And your videos are fucking awesome (especially adding project overkill to this list). 👌 But your editor, whoever does it, needs to be kicked to the curb for this crap. Please do better is all.

@@StillTheVoid Thanks for the info, very useful! Please note that some games have been re-released on newer consoles and are ESRB rated, but on everything else I agree with you. Once again, thank you very much for the feedback, any relevant aspect or correction that serves to improve the channel is always welcome (even more so if the criticism is done with respect!) Mate, I'm the one who does everything on this channel. Playing, recording, curating games, editing, writing, everything... with a lot of taskes sometimes I make mistakes, but my intention is always to leave the error at 0 (although it's hard when you upload content almost daily, combining KZbin with my other jobs in "real life"). I will improve even more, promise ;)

Well, you've listed every game in my library! Thanks for the memories! You might have mentioned that the Evil Dead games didn't get good until PS2. It's really hard to beat, even with a cheat disc!

This is a nice and bloody list filled with quite a few classics. Tenchu: Stealth Assassins, Dino Crisis, Vandal Hearts, Resident Evil 2, Final Doom, Silent Hill, and Mortal Kombat 4 are all excellent games. I've never played Nightmare Creatures 2 or Evil Dead: Hail to the King, but they both look like a lot of fun as well. As an honorable mention, I'd include Mortal Kombat Trilogy for its over-the-top fatalities. I know you probably limited the list to a single Mortal Kombat game, but Trilogy is still a nice addition to a list of bloody games. Another possible honorable mention would be Crusader: No Remorse. While not as bloody as the other games on the list, it is one of the most violent games on the Playstation in general and rewards you for killing everyone in sight, even those who are surrendering and present no threat to you. While shooting enemies leaves them in pools of blood, there are also more violent ways of killing enemies such as burning them to death and killing them in explosions. Maybe it would be a better inclusion on a most violent games list rather than a bloodiest games list.

Nightmare Creatures 1 and Dino Crisis 2 both have good gore/blood in their games too. Wish Tench would return. Got so excited for the Sekiro Shadows Die Twice teaser trailer thinking it was a new Tenchu. But it was just ninja souls. Tenchu Z isn't even backwards compatible on Xbox One X and Xbox Series X despite being a Xbox 360 exclusive to this day.

@@Gruntvc I had heard Sekiro was originally going to be a Tenchu game. "As the two studios worked together, the project eventually grew beyond its Tenchu roots and into its own original title." Too bad as I enjoyed the first game. I would love a return to the series focusing more on stealth.

@@ophidianmind333 You say Evil Dead Hail to the king looks fun but I can tell you that it Isn't very fun and that people should avoid it. However if you want some Evil Dead fix in video game form there's a decent game for Xbox (and PC I think) Evil Dead Regeneration and It's probably the best Evil Dead game so far but focuses more on comedy rather than horror. There's also a new game coming out sometime soon.

Especially games like Resident Evil 2, Dino Crisis, Silent Hill, Tenchu, Warpath: Jurassic Park, and Mortal Kombat 4, because those are all my favorite games, hehe.. Nice.. 😁👌 I used to play games as long as I just played the game, I didn't know that games were actually for adults, because I used to play games without knowing the details and clarity of the game, hehe.. 🙏😅 But apart from that, all those games were the most beautiful childhood of my life, making nostalgic memories.. 🥺

Thrill Kill actually got a rare AO rating, not M rating

Well, it initially did get an AO rating, but before cancellation, Paradox edited the game to get an M rating after finding out that stores like Wal-Mart refuse to stock AO rated games, as well as Sony not allowing them on their consoles.

You can thank EA for that, because they saw it as so offensive, they not only cancelled it, they also played morality police and refused to allow another company to publish on the ground that "Thrill Kill is a killing game, not a fighting game like Mortal Kombat".

I would also add Machine Hunter to this list, very underrated and fun game, and has nice bloody efects. It is similar to Loaded.

I'm so curious why SOTN was rated T, when literally some of the enemy deaths are pretty gory. Notable ones being the green knife soldiers on the first area, the warg enemies etc.

My guess is the ESRB did not find them to be severe enough due to most of the enemies being non-human (and I guess the soldiers counted as non-human due to being zombies).

Good video, I'd include Galerians on here too. When you raise the psychic power meter to full it overcharges. This causes any enemies around ya to instantly die from bloody head explosions. I think this was censored outside the US version though. And I'd add Syphon Filter 2. The taser kills alone are narly. But you kill a body armor wearing final boss by shotgun blasting him into helicopter propeller blades. I knew of Loaded but never owned it. Never heard of that military one. Looked fun.

I was tempted to select Galerians instead of Silent Hill. In fact, I find the first one bloodier. Finally I wanted to put a more iconic one for the audience. PSX had very bloody survival horrors, also the Alone in the Dark ones are very violent

@Bits & Beats, I'd also add either or both FEAR Effect games. Lots of blood and over the top death scenes in them. I wanna track down a copy of Project Overkill, reminds me of an M rated Syndicate. Covert Ops Nuclear Dawn/Chase The Express, while not survival horror, plays like classic RE and has lots of blood too. There's also, Space Hulk Vengence of the Blood Angels an M rated FPS and the only Warhammer 40k PS1 game I think. Plus, can't forget that iconic hallway scene from Metal Gear Solid where the Cyborg Ninja slaughtered that squad of genome soldiers. Man the PS1 had lots of great games...

Oh man, Wu Tang Shaolin Style was my favorite PS1 game. The best thing was, that you could put the game disc into your cd-player to listen to the audio tracks. (Yeah, I'm old, I still had a CD-Player when I was a youngan)

Die Hard Trilogy wasn't actually banned in Germany, it was indexed. Advertising and displaying in stores wasn't allowed, but you were allowed to buy it upon request. That's the case with most of the so called "banned" games in Germany.

So it's definitely a very interesting video and definitely a very interesting opinion to. Now I know that for me some of the bloodiest games that were on here were games like alone in the dark and countdown to vampires. As well as soul reaver and legacy of kain. but of course there were games like nightmare creatures one and tenchu 2 that were also pretty violent. Also who can't forget metal gear solid 1. Where every time you shoot an enemy you're seeing blood. Also the first Grand theft Auto and second Grand theft Auto were pretty violent as well and had a lot of blood in them too.

While Doom (05:57) will always retain its fun gameplay, but to include it in the list of violent games next to the likes of Mortal Kombat and Wu-Tang Shaolin Style - is a joke. I could understand if it was the Brutal Doom edition, - but that's not on PS1. Otherwise, in this day and age (and already for many years), the original is very tame. Nowhere near the level of violence of its contemporaries, such as Rise of the Triad, or games like Waxworks.

that scene in RE2 where the chief is split in half (in Leon's scenario it's the dude in the prison cell)... I swear it did things to me... I shouldn't have seen that at age 12.... even though they are just polygons, but man was it so well done that my mind was absolutely shocked to imagine a creature eating you from the insides and ripping apart your whole damn torso in two.... wow was that "traumatizing" to see in a video game! I was so unsupervised! lol 😅😂😅😂

The WuTang game is just THRILL KILL. they changed the characters of course but kept the same engine and all.i had the issue of TIPS AND TRICKS that covered THRILL KILL and Felony 11-79. It was a "SCHWAYYY!?!? They're gonna try n get away with this!?" And NO!.... they didn't LMADO
