Mortimer is easy to unlock. So if you want to unlock you're first mystery character, just play as Mickey, go to an open field, then you bump into Mortimer, die, and that's how you will unlock Mortimer. You should defenetly unlock him. He so cool!

I do disagree with one, the one where you say it has to be Professor Plump running away from the armor 25 times. The blurb says Hitchhiker ghosts ran away 25 times. I just got the Professor this morning, and it only took about 3 run aways before I got the new character, so I believe there are several ghosts called hitchhikers that could be used there. Whether the Professor has to be one of them, I don't know, but he doesn't need to do all of the running away.

You have to first unlock the prospector character first, then when you play as Jessie, the box should appear. There is a difference between Prospector and Mint in the Box Prospector
