Ceruledge has a mid speed stat in the maingame, and Weak Armor works only when hit. Something speedsters don't like much. Mimikyu isn't a Speedster because outside of Shadow Sneak (which isn't even a dash) it has a bad mobility. It excels at diving but it struggles leaving. Plus Disguise + Play Rough would be way too broken on a Speedster. Blaziken isn't a speedster because it just doesn't fit a Speedster role. It has a lot of good moves and stats that are too great to consider it a Speedster. Plus it had a versatile background in VGC - something they base most of their releases on.

But Bitter Blade has a lower cooldown, does more damage, has great secure, makes you sustain in fights longer, you can move while using it, and has a larger AOE to hit multiple enemies with. Being slightly slower to cast is a small price to pay.

@@RyansChannel0203 it is not a small price to pay, as enemies can interrupt your bitter blade to put it to cooldown. i'm a bitter blade believer, but I won't hide the truth. Psycho cut makes sense when going against more bulky pokémon (allrounder+defenders) AND/OR when your own team has 3 or more physical attackers. Buffing your own team with the PC defense reduction to (multiple) enemies is a huge help for everyone

That is true. Trust me, I'm not saying Psycho Cut isn't good. There are many reasons to use it over Bitter Blade and vice versa. However, Bitter Blade doesn't get cancelled by CC. Once you press it, it'll come out whether or not you get stunned.

But I noticed that while I was getting volt tackled my bitter blade didn't get canceled. I was able to cast it even though I was stunned. But it should be faster ngl

I use psycho cut just because the cooldown is lower, and its faster to burst them down. It feels better to combo

In solo queue I think bitter is generally better because the extra bits of sustain you get are so helpful

I've used bitter blade x phantom force since i got Ceruledge and it hasn't let me down at all. The up time you can keep with it is insane
