I bought a 2015 City Diesel in 2021 @5.6L, 1.3L km on the odo. Trust me when I say this was the best purchase I could have ever made. I have 1.6L on the odo now, solid reliability, amazing comfort, solid interiors, and the most important - GREAT REAR CAMERA. Even newest cars on the market today have a reverse camera this good. The only reason I'm not switching to a better infotainment lol. Kidding aside, after 160000km, I don't think any car would fetch 26km/l. Even when I drive around 100km/h, I get 22+ km/l. Cruise control is a dream at this price in a car of this age. i-dtec engine is a bit noisy, but there's no turbo lag and is a pleasure to drive around the city and highway. Ample torque. I've done a 2000km round trip to Wayanad with 5 people and a boot full of luggage, the car didn't break a sweat. The audio system is as good as today's cars. The only thing sucky about this car are the NVH levels and headlights. I bought this as my first car, and mostly because this was the only option at my preferred dealer, but I couldn't have made a better purchase. If Andhra and Telangana don't put a ban on diesels, I'm gonna drive this thing till it dies.

I started noticing ppl praising Honda City and showing great respect to that car... I immediately took decision to test drive City... & boy o boy... it was an entirely different world.. i sold my 10 day old verna in a big loss and brought Honda City to my house & rest is history... I find excuses to drive it.. have clicked like more than 1000 pics of it... I find excuses to drive that machine.. ppl said this excitement will not last longer but to their surprise my love for that brand is increasing each day.. i bought it in 2021.. went from villages to mountains... had a blast in trips... and city driving is amazing as well cus of its marvelous handling and suspension setup ❤ For info I had Verna Diesel and switched to City petrol Vtec engine... da character and feel that City 5th gen provided me is worth 60+ lakh for me... it has just added that extra fun and oomph to my life 😍

My friend's 2016 Honda City VX 1.5 i-DTEC (diesel) with a 6 speed manual gearbox clocked over 2,40,000km on the odometer till date, didn't even maintain it time to time (even now it did double the recommended km's on a single service), been in 2 major accidents, one on front and one on rear. It still performs like a champ and returns around 22 kmpl combined with the AC on! Yes it's a little loud due to the aluminium engine block and not as powerful as compared to other diesel engines for example the Hyundai 1.6 CRDi, but it is very reliable and hasn't met with any issues even after travelling for over 2,40,000 km's without being maintained properly. Kudos to Honda for making such a reliable diesel engine without much experience in diesel technology. I myself have a 2016 City VX with 1.5 i-VTEC paired with a CVT gearbox and clocked 40,000 km's so far and it's a charm! Very comfortable and decently efficient too, I get around 8 kmpl as I drive a little enthusiastically. Most of my relatives have a City with a CVT too lol.

I too own a Honda city Diesel I-dtec which has completed 1,52,000 on its odometer. This car is simply reliable and one of the most underrated diesel cars in India. Mileage of above 20 kmpl in traffic can save a lot of money. Plus it becomes a wild beast once its in the 3rd gear post 60 kmph. You can rev its engine to touch 200 kmph on top speed and the handling will be crisp. I have done my Ladakh trip with my car without a single problem. Honda should have invested further in diesel models as their engine was super reliable and had very low maintenance. The only issue with this car was engine packing was not done well due to which cabin noise was high. But its only felt on low speeds. Its a value for money deal even today in the second hand car market.

My family owns a 2017 ivtec, manual city. There are few things I absolutely love about it like the comfort, the stock speakers, the handling and the steering which is nicely weighted when compared to its size unlike the hyundai cars where the steering feels a lot lighter when compared to the size of the car and so does not generate enough confidence The performance ; has touched 100 in the second gear and smoothly sails or i would say simply glides over a windy section of road However there are certain things i do not like Firstly, the engine is overall quite but whenever it is revved for instance, when setting the car in motion in the first gear,it becomes very loud Secondly, the gear shifts are not as smooth when compared with suzuki or hyundai Thirdly, the service from Honda is also expensive unlike the rival brands. Just guessing if someone else has a similar take

Hello all, I switched from Swift VXI (2013) to Honda City (2013) that my dad owned. My dad uses the new Elevate now. I could very easily relate with the video because it's all so true. Swift feels like nothing now, its standing in the garage and I don't even use it. The City gives me an average of 13.5 to 13.7 and the swift had average of 17-18 still I don't like the swift anymore. The City is easy to maintain, and the engine is marvelous. No noise, no extra hit on the pocket when servicing it. Heck I do my oil changes on my own it's so simple. I haven't modified anything just because I'm too scared I'll ruin the beauty of the car. I've drag raced it too and it just goes man. This city has even given an average of 16 on the highways in winters. The odo reads almost 60,000 now and I have no complaints at all. This is my daily drive and it'll be this way for a while now. I'll never ever sell this car. Ofcourse thanks to my dad. Last but not the least the Elevate is another beauty from honda and the suspension is chummeshwari along with a great tractebel engine. Honda City is amazing, I recently purchased Honda City S CVT 2016 which had 88,000 KM on it and must say I am totally satisfied. I will be upgrading it to 4th Gen facelift with headlights with DRL's and some inside cosmetic changes with a original head unit. I think she will serve me well for next 5 years easily.

As a 5th gen City owner I can say that this company Honda exceeded my expectations by a large margin... I basically wanted a Sedan as I thought it wud satisfy my sports car vibe hunger... I wanted a Civic but as it get discontinued just de month I went to showroom... in frustration I bought Verna as it looked really good but I never felt any excitement even the day I was taking it out of da showroom cus I was not having de feel which I thought I wud get in a sedan body type but I thought.. may that's how sedans feel then 😂😂... i never got a kick out of it... so as I ueed to search on youtube about verna and all...

6:33 Honda VTEC - Variable Valve Timing & Lift Electronic Control "VTEC JUST KICKED IN YO!" - Meme Honda VTEC allows for Honda engines to have a variable camshaft profile, which in turn results in higher performance at high RPM, and lower fuel consumption at low RPM. This is done electronically via 2 camshaft profiles, through hydraulics. Not to be confused with VVT engineered by Toyota (It is very different). Honda managed to pioneer this amazing invention into their diesel engines (which were previously not famous) and introduced it in India via the Honda Amaze in 2018, called i-DTEC.

As someone who has owned 3 used Honda vehicles (1 civic and 2 Accords), these cars are just so fun to drive and hasslefree to own, I can confirm . The cars had scary amount of miles and still I only had to only change oil at the prescribed intervals and occasionally change battery and everything else just worked. And I think these are the last of the cars that are 'user servicable' when it comes to basic stuff like changing oil, filters and working on the electrical stuff. Even installing mods without professional help is possible without professional help for everything except the drivetrain and suspensions. Even Toyotas have similar reputation here, although I believe they have probably leaned more towards endurance and less towards driving excitement.

I own a 2009 Honda Civic 1.6 Auto, this isn't your average commuter car. It's a driver's dream, packing a punch that belies its age. I made few modifications and I touched 170 . That is a completely different experience which i didn't have in any other car. Even at 170, it still is very controlled. This car will put a smile on your face during every drive. Cruise control lets you relax on long stretches, while the paddle shifters put the power at your fingertips. Unlike some newer models with fake shifters, these are the real deal! Honda reliability is legendary, and this Civic is no exception. It's been meticulously maintained and is ready for many more miles of adventure. Plus, being a Honda, it's known for being fuel-efficient, keeping your wallet happy. But for some unavoidable reasons, I'm planning to sell it

Bought a 2015 City Diesel from Delhi last year. Having used it for the last 10k kms. It runs ans drives great. And the running cost can only be beaten by an EV. But which EV can take you across a cross country trip while covering over 1000 kms in a day non stop. The NGT ban has forced me to take the car to my hometown in Kerala. The 2600 km drive was a breeze. With mileage over 26kmpl was extremely frugal.

I totally agree with you. I wanted a family 7 seater petrol car. My father wanted Ertiga but I convinced him to buy a BRV because of its safety. Though safety was the only reason to choose BRV instead of Ertiga, after buying a 2019 model BRV S i-vtec from Cars24 at 7.26 lakh (in december 2023), we found out that safety isn't the only better thing in BRV than the Ertiga. Instead, the mileage of BRV's 1.5 litre petrol engine is also good. I get around 11 kmpl in heavy city traffic of Pune, 13-14 kmpl in mixed conditions (driving around 20-30 kmph in city and at 60-70 kmph on highway with medium level traggic) and a whopping 18 kmpl on highway with continuous speed of 80-90 kmph. The space is also better than the Ertiga in third row. The only issue is the availability of spare parts in my town (Mangaon, Raigad). We have to wait for 2 days for spare parts as they need to be ordered from Mumbai. The cost ia not very high as compared to Ertiga. I have installed a 70mai A810 dashcam and leather seat covers after purchasing the car. I am very happy with Honda BRV.

Honda has the best engine hands down. Power on demand at any time. Also the best steering weight feel is best not too light & not too heavy. New model needs suspension works. Over all what you need is engine which Honda dont disappoint. Not to mention ivtech. Special skill needed to unlock ivtech. And personally it doesn't seems the ivtech has kicked in on this video. In my personal view it needs high rpm but it also needs addition of proper clutch control. I once threw my car over a length of two 16 wheel trucks from the back and completely take over them both in 3 seconds which in my mind was impossible feeling. You know when you feel it. The instruction you gave on this video doesn't unlock its full potential. The magic happens in 2nd and 3rd gear. Shifting between these 2 is very crucial to unlock the ivtech.fast shifting and and very intricate clutch control is the key for my honda. But by god it will give you goose bumps. The problem is if u switch lower gear it will only rev but with proper clutch it will launch your car way faster. Very small window. Also I dont think this is no ivetech power you are showing. Thats normal driving on high rpm.

Bhai I live in UAE aur mere paas 2011 ki Honda Crosstour hai... V6 hai par uske baad bhi city me 8 aur highway par 10-10.5 ka average de deti hai.. Power zabardasst hai .. And the best part is the quality of parts that Honda uses.. kuchh months pehle meri gaadi ke Honda USA se factory fitted FRONT brake pads change karwane pade (original brakes poore khatam ho gaye the) .. @ mileage 178,000 km... Aur rear brake pads meine abhi 188,000km par change karaaye aur unme abhi bhi 2mm baaki tha.. Haan ye zaroor hai ke hum gaadi roughly chalaate, par tab bhi -- I think for the OEM brakepads to last 178000 km shows the quality that Honda delivers.. But, Honda ka sabse bada problem hai uske OEM/Genuine parts ki pricing .. Quality Toyota se 1.25X hai par price is more than 2.5X to 4X. Isliye log yahaan Honda lene se pehle 3 sochte hain..

It is a big red flag when you see 40-50k kilometers in the odometer of a reused car. I was once looking for a used car and to my surprise almost all cars had just under 50k kilometers. A few had lower than 40k km and only one had around 70k kms (which was visibly quite old) I switched the brokers and same was the case everywhere. One of my uncles worked in Maruti Suzuki service, so I sent him the car number and almost all of them had more than 1 lakh km in their last service. These dealers/brokers change the odometer reading in every cars. I was really shocked after seeing that. I didn't find a single dealer in my town who was honest with it.
