Mindless aggression is not a technique. The criteria should be punches landed and knockdowns. The existing criteria are subjective. This is why the results are often fraudulent. Also, there's a lot of money at play. If boxing weren't a business fraught with betting and with corporate sponsorships, it would be more credible as a sport. There's also politics in play, anti-Russian bias.

No he didn't. I had it 115-113 Beterbiev. Could it have been 115-113 Bivol? Absolutely. Could have been a draw. But there was no robbery. Both fighters were great defensively. I had it a close fight. But Beterbiev was pressuring more than Bivol and landing the harder punches. It was a great fight. Both warriors came to fight. I think the right one won. Even if the score card was not persistent with what i saw.

People act like the championship rounds count double, but that's not true. Championship rounds do not count higher on the score sheet than the 5th round. Applying pressure does not mean being superior. You can exert pressure and still be boxed out - just imagine: Going back and responding with hard combinations and counters is also a strategy.

I've seen a lot of social media outlets share their displeasure with Beterbiev winning this fight. I won't lie before this fight I predicted Bivol to win.. watching it all the way through I thought Bivol won.. but I want to rewatch the fight back no commentary no noise.. cause in the moment we tend to be swayed by the crowd reactions, the commentary, even the viewer score cards.. Seeing the last few rounds Beterbiev was throwing and landing and the lack of response and activity from Bivol I thought made the fight even closer at this point. I would've taken a draw so I feel like I can't outrightly say Bivol won cause Beterbiev did a lot of good things in this fight too.. to me this was one of if not the best boxing match I've watched this year purely from the stance that it was the best two boxers in their division at the time and as close as it gets.. A rematch would be fantastic and pretty sure no one wouldn't mind watching them fight again. For the time though I'll still say Bivol till I watch it a second time minus the noise and try to appreciate both fighters and what they brought.. all in all this was an incredible fight for neutrals and boxing fans. Thank you to Riyadh Season, Matchroom, Queensbury.. they're giving us some amazing fights this year couldn't be more blessed to be able to see some of the fights these companies have put for us this year.

Beterbiev is a powerful puncher. He showed endurance in the last three rounds. However, he did not land clean punches as Bivol did. Bivol on the other hand threw more and landed clean punches.
