Bixler 2 Wing Bolt Mod prevents frustration when inserting and removing the wing bolts

Hi MrDabrudda, I want to thank you for sharing this mod for Bixler 2. I have used the same mod for my Bixler 2 and it works a treat. It is so much easier to put in and take out. I am now watching all the rest of your videos on your Bixler Mod to see what ideas I can pick up. Once again thanks and great videos.

You can cut grooves and epoxy leads under where the wings fit in. I find it's easy to plug in the wings and then plug in the servos from the outside, no mess no fuss. The only problem is that a little bit of servo wire will hang causing a very small turbulence to the airflow close to the fuselage under the wing. Give it a try if you have not done so already and free yourself from fishing wires in and out of the fuselage.

brilliant idea for such a stupid stupid design fault. they should do this before they send them to you. I used 5mm heat shrink tube from hobby king, didn't have any of the pipe stuff. Thanks alot MrDabrudda!

Nice idea and a Very economic solution. But as I'm an expert crasher, I threw out the wing bolts/tubes and stuck a tab under each wing so I can use rubber bands through the wing slot. The rubber acts as a damper when I (ahem) land.

I'm not sure what qualifies as an expert crasher...not sure I want to know. The ground is the ultimate "damper" when landing.

An alternative is to increase the magnetic strength of your screwdriver by rubbing a magnet along the tip.
