These are subscription batteries, ev user doesn't own these batteries. While company and operator own batteries, they usually handle intrinsic & normal battery issues like excess heating, lithium plating, normal wear and tear etc. But if the damages are intent based and hefty like malfunctions due to wear and tear & mishandling of the ev user, then the user is obligated to pay for the damages.
