When I played FNaF, I recognized this song right away from one of my favourite operas. Before and still now, I would listen to this song because of the opera "Carmen", but for some people (mostly the young ones), they would come and listen to this song because of the famous horror game, Five Nights at Freddy's. Even just one single game can make this song have more attention, but sometimes, for a different reason. I am not trying to judge any of you but i am just stating my opinion. Still, i dont care whether or not you came here because of FNaF or the song or the opera. At least the song is recognized by both people an children more. :)

I agree. His low notes are focused, bright, projecting, brilliant... That is what low notes must be (usually) in choral and operatic settings (yes, that includes in pop/rock/country/whatever choral ensembles). Cut on the low, diffuse on the high. That's the formula for success (with exceptions for effect, yes?)

People complaining about FNAF miss the point of this song: Escamillo sings about love, but also the danger of being a toreador. He returns to the ring every time, fighting untameable bulls and blood and the threat of death, because he loves the thrill and the glory of the fight. The player can leave Freddys anytime, but they keep coming back to flirt with death because it's fun, and the song and Carmen's rich history will always remind us of it. Like Escamillo tells us: "c'est la fete du courage, c'est la fete des gens de coeur!"

Ive been playing the Votre from every source for a month and have probably heard and saw 2 dozen. This is the best and if you love opera go no further. The staging and singing is spot on Rameys rendition is a close second, but Nouri eats up the scenery which is what this part was meant fore. Flamboyant ant egotistical a great Escamillo.
