I have YAMAHA PSR 225 GM midi i bought this in 2006 and still it is in good working condition sometime 1st lower octave create problem but after cleaning with brush it again work but now I'm going to purchase yamaha psr i500 thanks for detailing casio ctk9000 already purchased before 3 months but my personal choice is yamaha so I'll purchase i500 for personal use

CTX 9000in has lot of function but Yamaha is Yamaha...Yamaha speaker and sound thrust out put is much better than Casio 9000 despite Casio having higher capacity of speaker. Yamaha keys and over all construction is more elegant and sturdy. Due to high sustain in Casio 9000 the over all output get overlapped and you end up getting distorted sound, whereas in Yamaha i500 the sound is more crisp and clear and soothing...in Yamaha you get a single key for variations where as in Casio you get two tabs which creat confusion.... In my opinion in terms of sound quality, over all construction and sound output Yamaha is much better...
