SA is only there to keep peace because the citizens of those countries are flooding SA seeking Aslam which is not good for our country. You need to understand that if SA ignores whatever war is happening in Africa We are the ones suffering the consequences. We have too many illegal immigrants in SA and that's the results of those wars. Those immigrants revert to crime when their stay in SA doesn't bear what they imagined, and this is why we have high crime rate in SA. TO solve crime you need to start from the roots level. I hope even the ignorant people understand. You are allowed to hate ANC , but sometimes you need to understand you might be the dumb one in this case.
@ColonelChrisWyatt2 ай бұрын
A fair assessment. But the DRC is not a major contributor to the mass influx of illegals in South Africa. Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Nigeria, China, Somalia... those are far bigger sources of origin. @@sonofsoweto Please watch your language, at least act civil. I'm missing the "filled with hatred" part, and who said anything about subhuman? South Africa's Military, Air Force and Naval capabilities are in a sad state of affairs. That's a truth. Yet the government expects the South African tax payer to fund military intervention in a country more than 3,500km away. A quick Google tells me that at least 2 SANDF soldiers have been killed and 3 wounded in CAR this year. 13 killed in the CAR in 2013. Explain that to the families of the soldiers. You believe that South Africa has a duty to the well-being of African countries like Egypt, Somalia, Sudan just because they're on the same continent?

Other African countries such as Zimbabwe Namimbia are draining minerals from the Congo. Is South Africa doing the same or are they assisting the Congo in defending their country? Or sre they protecting our borders. Our military is not supported to be in the DRC. They dont have the means to be there. Other country forces have withdrawn. Ours should too.

It is rather hard to see why the SANDF is getting involved when in your mind the US is the only country well equipped to do anything, and to down play what the SANDF has done in Burundi, South Sudan when the UN failed is something else. just because SA is not about playing in the media and unlike the US is not there for the minerals doesn't make them less capable, also you have no idea on what is actually happening in SA just names those places you mentioned yet have no idea how life is there.

Africans must get education on how politics work. These deals benefits the politicians. Have you ever seen these fight each other? They have each other's backs, while the citizens of their countries wallow in abject poverty. Trust me that they gift each other with minerals farms,mines, etc. It's a fact that no amount of talk from Citizens can erase that phenomenon. All we Africans can do is pray that while they do that,they should also develop our beautiful blessed Continent and educate its Citizens with good quality education. Otherwise,there is no ending of this trend everywhere on earth. At least some nations outside our Continent take care of the basic fundamentals of their countries and continents,then loot and gift their friends.Painful fact.

Why do we do it for the same reason that the US Armed forces, the Royce Armed forces, the Russian Armed forces, the Peoples liberation Army of China and many others do to protect their economic interests, ensure stability in the region and flex their military might. The reason other countries were upset with NDZ is because they wanted a leader from Francophone Africa but a leader from an Anglophone part of Africa won and they realized where the balance of power lies in the alliance.
