Man, it's super weird or should I say.. It's amazing and intriguing how a Christians' view, understanding, appreciation, taste for music changes over the course of their life or from moment of finding and accept Jesus. Those times when I didn't really understand or fully grasp the lyrics of Christian rap. I just looked for the ones that feel good or sound good. I was picky... And, then to know how I'd support a song in no time..there's no good sound or bad sound.. to me it's truth and going for the Kingdom/it's gonna make an impact cause' Jesus is mentioned or being talked about or if it doesn't... However, it speaks God's truth or Biblical stuff then it's great!!!!!!!! I remember hearing this song before but didn't feel it.. Cause' I didn't understand the lyrics or message. But, now I love this!!!! I now look for the lyricism, content, message!! Deep stuf!! Going back to these old ones. I love Surrender though by mista Bizzle. In the message the lines can be blurred, because they're doing it like the World does it, which the Father instructs us not to do, which is worship Him in the way the non-believers worship their gods. We shouldn't be sending a mixed message though we were once in the world. While trying to deliver your message, you're still planting negative visual imagery (sin) in the persons mind or sub-conscience. Like slinging dope as you said and gang bangin' though that was and is not the intent. It's basically mixing Holy with what is unholy. Young minds of today are severely under attack and that is the very room for misinterpretation that the ENEMY needs to play with. Can you visualize what I'm saying? Though we are to infiltrate the enemy's camp we must still be more clever than the serpent. Tattoos, gang signs, molten images, are things we are to stay away from not glorify to where the next becomes emboldened to do likewise. These all are things which are prohibited. The message should make it clear as to that was the OLD MAN which I've put off and now that I know I was sinning in ignorance I sin no more "on purpose" that is, and if a sin is brought to my attention, ask forgiveness for it, and do it no more. These are things that you should not do, young or old once you have knowledge thereof and know the truth. I am speaking from experience not putting anyone down but, making an on the spot correction as it were and rendering some spiritual advice. Whether any of you take it is indeed your call, but at least I've done as instructed, for open rebuke (correction) is better than love concealed. "Now That's Love". None of us are perfect, least of all me, but I do wish to see my brethren enter in through the straight gate. Let it be known that all I've said here is out of love, testimony, and is all scriptural sound. Not taken out of context or manipulated as many sometimes do. In Jesus name Amen. And for those who come and say stop using that pagan name Jesus! I know his Hebrew name is Yeshua, however I can say I've asked Him direct and personal when I feared to say the wrong name, I asked in fear and trembling what should I call Him and HE answered me telling me JESUS. That no one can take from me or those of you whom hold it dearly. Be Blessed and I still liked the track.
