Pedalling through The dark currents I find an accurate copy A blueprint of the pleasure in me [Chorus 1] (Swirling black lilies totally ripe) A secret code carved A secret code carved (Swirling black lilies totally ripe) [Verse 2] He offers a handshake Crooked five fingers They form a pattern Yet to be matched [Chorus 2] On the surface simplicity (Swirling black lilies totally ripe) But the darkest pit in me And it's pagan poetry (Swirling black lilies totally ripe) Pagan poetry [Verse 3] Morse coding signals (signals) They pulsate (wake me up) They wake me up (pulsate) from my hibernating [Chorus 2] On the surface simplicity (Swirling black lilies totally ripe) But the darkest pit in me And it's pagan poetry (Swirling black lilies totally ripe) Pagan poetry (Swirling black lilies totally ripe) (Swirling black lilies totally ripe) [Outro] I love him, I love him I love him, I love him I love him, I love him I love him, I love him I... (She loves him, she loves him) This time (She loves him, she loves him) I'm going to keep it to myself (She loves him, she loves him) This time (She loves him, she loves him) I'm going to keep me all to myself (She loves him, she loves him) And he makes me want to hand myself over (She loves him, she loves him) (She loves him, she loves him) And he makes me want to hand myself over (She loves him, she loves him) (She loves him, she loves him) (She loves him, she loves him) (She loves him, she loves him)

@therealKINDLE [accuracy vs. feeling] but, yeah, her voice sounds tired since 2007. on her wiki page it says she's taking vocal lessons. it's funny to imagine bjork with a teacher. :)

At the End she doesn't go as high as she did in the Post Studio Version! I Heard she had to have over 50 Takes to get the notes high enough & used a lot of Tea Tree Oil scent to get her vocal chords to open up on a whole new level! I Recently Edited the Original & Doubled the times she sings "It makes me want to hurt myself again..." & Added a Low String Sound to it aswell as adding some Delay effects. It came out ok. A Bit Haunting! But Love often haunts me also.

@ExtravertmE Yeh coz that particular section is very clear & easy to make out. It's not like it put through copious reverberation is it? :/ That's how I heard it, & it's relation to the music video where she is actually putting needles into her flesh. Maybe I should just do the off with listening to her music altogether & simply read Lyrics Web pages.
@ExtravertmE13 жыл бұрын
@therealKINDLE I understand what you're saying. I don't obsess over Bjork, I simply value accuracy. Since you make make your own material, you probably wouldn't like people making inaccurate statements about your music, and would likely make that clear to people spreading it around. I did respond with sarcasm, and if that hurt you, i apologize.
@ExtravertmE13 жыл бұрын
@therealKINDLE Hopefully you've discovered by now that the lyrics say, "hand myself over", not "hurt myself". I don't even understand why that would make any sense.
@ExtravertmE13 жыл бұрын
@therealKINDLE I thought that the video might be the reason, because you're not the first one to make that mistake. But since one can rarely make out exactly what she's articulating anyway, lyric web pages are essential to getting an accurate understanding of many of her songs. Some people are content to project their own personal interpretations on the song, and everyone does that to some extent, but at least get the lyrics right first.

@ninbin34 You obviously don't! Yeh, You're right.. Notes in Music? We should just use any old sound with no control, nor composition over pitch what so ever. How silly of me.
