This tour must have been amazing. To anyone who attended a biophilia show, be grateful that you had that opportunity.

I still have flashbacks every now and then, the power of electricity and her voice, it was like being on drugs but totally grounded at the same time

But props to the crew and everyone behind the instruments/production for doing a really good job in bringing Björk's concepts to life.

OH MY GOD. BJORK, I DID NOT KNOW HOW AUTHENTIC SHE REALLY, TRULY WAS? She used lightning. ACTUAL ELECTRICITY for the song Thunderbolt. What is this amazing woman
@ChrisMagoo996 жыл бұрын
I had the pleasure of seeing her in a small venue in New York, the Roseland Ballroom (which is now unfortunately closed). You can feel the pulse of that electricity in your chest. It was an exhilarating experience.

if she was so authentic she wouldn't rely on synthesized bullshit sounds.
@d3a19904 жыл бұрын
thecannibal .... but she’s worked with more authentic instruments than most artists. Strings on Vulnicura, which she arranged herself, for instance. Harpsichords, glockenspiels, gamelans, singing drums, harps, brass sections.

@mrtvi46 What I meant: Most artists, music producers use whatever is around, which are in great numbers. Although she did not create these instruments herself, they were created for her magnificent project. I think that within itself is fantastic. But maybe I don't get around so much as you.

@amusedbygod The organ wasn't. The Tesla Coil was invented in 1891 and has been used as an instrument by others. The Reactable was developed at a university in Spain. Only the Gravity Harp was created for this project. However, you do have a point in the fact that she's making an effort to find unique and rarely used sounds! :)
