Saw this last night on BBC Four with an alternate ending.

Yes, it was bizarre seeing it again after so many years (I used to have it recorded on vhs), and it briefly felt like I'd slipped into an alternate reality where Mike Flowers Pops had been Xmas No 1! Momentarily it seemed very odd watching it but the last chart would have been on Sunday 24th, so it would have been foolish for them not to have recorded alternate endings. Strange that it was what they ended up showing when they re-ran it on bbc4 but I guess nobody would have looked into it that carefully.
