You can really tell how technical and challenging this song truly is when it's performed live. The timing, hitting those notes, the lyrics at the precise moment. There's no wiggle room, everyone has to be on their toes. Bjork is truly a genius.

This whole song music arrangements choir, noises, voices and Bjork is the epitome of creativity. Period. No artist can do this what Bjork has done here. That's it.

The musical levels n depths r phenomenal on this song live. Around 2:17, I close my eyes n allow my hairs to stand on end. It transcends you to an open valley, to an icy mountain top, then at light speed to the infinite universe. That lady in the red dress does look mesmerized by Bjork ;-) I would too !

Lyrics: There is yet another one That follows me Where ever I go And supports me This tooth is warmth-like And these teeth are a ladder up to his mouth These teeth are a ladder that I walk That you can walk too if you want If you want up to the mouth The mouth's cradle Up to the mouth's cradle He always has a hope for me Always sees me when nothing else And everyone have left That ghost is brighter than anyone And fulfils me with hope And you can use these teeth as a ladder Up to the mouth's cradle, the mouth's cradle And you can follow these notes i'm singing Up to the mouth's cradle, the mouth's cradle The simplicity of the ghost-like beast The purity of what it wants and where it goes Always love, always loves you, always loves you Infrared love And you can use these teeth as a ladder Up to the mouth's cradle, the mouth's cradle And you can use these teeth follow my voice Tooth by tooth Up to the mouth's cradle, the mouth's cradle I need a shelter to build an altar away From all osamas and bushes

I love the back singers. I watch this video mostly because of them - specially the girls. Their voice is powerful and controlled, and it's hard to sing "low" like that. They seem to be enjoying singing with Björk alongside them, they're happy... and it would be amazing to sing to Björk *o* And the girls are NOT ugly, oh please, the one in red is pretty @_@

I am in the breastfeeding camp. When watching the Medulla documentary Bjork says that this album relates to her internal experiences in particular to the having of a child....so yes....The sound here is just so beautiful and so much more enhanced with the choir ...The girl in the red dress looks honored , as well she might,--- i would look pretty stupid standing next to Bjork i would be in such awe...that is for sure...

At 1:19 the woman in red, and I think this is why she looks so weird the entire way through, looks a bit weird because björk has this thing where she sings out of time with the music, but she always tends to come back in perfect timing. Kinda not really in this song, but I think it sounds good. I don't think that woman thinks so.

Oh yeah! Beautiful Bjork is a true Scorpio shaman! When i tell her i love her, here is the difference between me & other people: I am sincere all the way, to my soul & spirit, not sarcastic, which is bad for the soul. Also im not confused, i am more re- aligned and connected to my spirit, NOW. Earth, air, fire, water, ether. She is right up there with Laura Eisenhower, & Sia! Powerful Earth goddess mothers. Goddess mothers. Hearts all the way!!! ...in our, DNA... - from some clown

such a 'special' smile at 0:09 !??... Great if you love mixing and layering vocals , but is the original better ? Bjork's voice is an instrument in itself ! (that's why so many people have remixed it) And it plays so well when mixed with others.. ( Especially brass,/electronic,/strings/ etc) The choir is great in this clip especially though !
@LightofBeauty15 жыл бұрын
the first set of voltaic was released early, but because OneLittleIndian had some issues with the dvd and what not, they had to delay it. some people were lucky enough to get that first set, which had all the original set list on the dvd. i have no idea why they cut out SO MANY songs from this particular concert, i hope they will one day just release the entire thing in its entirety.
