I have searched SO LONG for an explanation of the dumble circuit principles from an EE/physics perspective.

"Yes, we love the distortion in the Jazz Chorus..." If I ever get to Finland, he's gonna be my first stop!

+David Espinosa Ever heard the distortion of Roland Jazz Chorus amp? It is not good imo.
@davidespinosa19108 жыл бұрын
+Airbloom Amplifiers It's almost as good as the distortion on the Peavey Backstage 30.

Been playing guitar and using amps since '63; I never had to use anything but the good stuff. It's subjective. You are only as aware of world class guitar tone as the gear you have.

@@airbloomamplifiers lol.....this was clearly a joke, nobody digs the break up on JC or a backstage 30........separately though, you really know your stuff man, I watched all your videos and your amps sound FANTASTIC!

I was a friend of Kenny's. I heard an Express in 1991 at Mesa Boogie; it was immediately the best overdriven lead amp I had ever heard (started playing professionally in 1970). Ordered one that day and then later got a Liverpool. My amps are Francine '91 (Express) and Daisy '91 (Liverpool). The Express is on several record's - "Reload" - Metallica, The Arc Angels, The Fabulous Thunderbirds. Let me know if you'd like to hear them; There are very few real Trainwreck sounds on You Tube. Most people hear a copy and think that's what one sounds like. No.

I built a Train Wreck clone with Hammond OT. After some changes in resistors values I have tuned the amp to my liking.
The idea is to control the second order harmonics through tuning the signal by local negative feedback. Accentuate the pleasing tones.

Are you talking about "touch sensitivity", where the note can ride on the overdriven gain and engage it into saturation by digging in harder with the pick. Too bad there are no sounds to illustrate some of your concepts.

I hear NO EVIDENCE at all that you know what great tone even is. You have to do more than TALK. You have to demonstrate that you know what great tone is by producing it.
@Mark706092 жыл бұрын
Agreed talk it cheap, and there has been plenty of it with boutique amps.
