I saw an auction with a Buy Now of NZD$198 that stated BJD Couple. I thought the dolls looked nice but I assumed they would be recasts. Well, I opened the auction and saw the accessories looked to be well above the retail amount in items alone. I also thought the dolls looked way too 'crisp' to be recasts. I decided to take a low risk gamble given the accessories would make up for what I was about to spend, and - boy was I a happy lady.
The dolls I am 99.9% sure are authentic. The elf lady's faceup closely resembles Angel of Dream's BJD Jini on an official dealer's site. I would say these are Angel of Dreams BJD dolls with secondary head purchases and official faceup on the girl.

That being said, even if the gamble had provided recasts I would have still been over the moon given the beautiful jewellery, glass eyes, wigs and clothing. The original owner had a talent and she was good at it. I got more than what was shown in the auction.
Sometimes taking a gamble is well worth it. It paid off in this instance!
Now I just need to find someone in my country that does boy faceups :P.
