I love this, im also from texas so I'll have to go to that convention some day! And btw I love your black cherry hybrid doll! What skin color did you match together for the body and head?

I actually moved out of Texas at the end of 2022, so attending BJDC in the future will take a lot more planning. Thank you for the compliments. She is definitely a core part of my crew and I love how much smaller and portable she is. I went with Fresh for Dollstown, and the Black Cherry Dolls head is in "Normal". Per the maker, it was a pretty close match to the Dollshe Fresh color. I think if I were to do it again, I would go with a more tinted body like the "oriental" color and have the head blushed to match it if needed. I find this shade to be a bit too easy to blow out the highlights in photos. Not impossible to work with, but just more challenging.

That sounds like so much fun!!! I haven’t been to any doll cons or any meetups in person unfortunately. :( I am thinking of trying to get some people together though in my area so who knows. ;) love the cute dress on your Xiao Yu!!! Super sweet and adorable!!

It was overall worth the trip and was a lot of fun. It’s hard to meet up if there isn’t a critical mass of people and staying safe given health risks is always top of mind. You should definitely try to make a meet up happen if you want one! I am actually hosting my first one soon. There were several folks that were asking if any meetups were happening, so I reached out to a local business to see if hey would be ok if we held it there, and they agreed! So take it into your own hands. 🙂 Yes, the dress is so sweet. I was hoping to get a dress for my big girls, but the vendors there mainly had Smart Doll sized large clothes and Supia hips do not fit those!
