Did you see Danaher do an impression of him? Hilarious, cuz he rarely breaks character. Man, I can't remember which video or I'd link to it, but it was bjjfanatics. So funny.

3:14 I can't wait to go to the gym and try this, especially the part where I yell, "Get out of here!" After that, I may follow up with, "I don't know him. This is not my daddy!" But seriously, I came here looking for this exact technique. Thanks for sharing it.

Hit this on a blue belt the other day, I’m a one stripe white belt, interestingly enough I hit it when I wasn’t trying to I just had the proper controls and saw an opening.

Similar story. I hit this on a blue belt too just because I saw a triangle and yolod it. Haven't hit it on anyone since, which is why I'm here.

I shoot for this but have never gotten the tap from the squeeze. Only just when I trap them with the triangle and do an arm attack on them. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong with the leg squeeze tho.

Just got smashed tonight. Training partner had a very solid side control. Good weight distribution, can't wait to drill/try this in rolling. thank you 🙏

(White belt here) for this one and the original inverted triangle he showed and mentioned, A lot of people keep catching me with by moving to knee on belly. And a black belt told me it wouldn't work bc of knee on belly. Am i not turned away enough ? Or not hold down like by his shoulder area to keep him from popping up ? Any advice would be appreciated

@Jay VoPava i think you're right im gunna keep trying i like this move i wanna make it work i get close. thank you for responding, if you find out anymore or figure out the fine tuning to increase success pls lmk ! I get so close in rolls but i either cant get leg over there head/keep them down or they just get the knee on belly.

@@jamest935 Keep going it is starting to work for me a bit. I think the secret is in the video he posted with Bernardo..to turn to the opponents head side before locking the triangle..its the other video about this triangle on BJJ fanatics on youtube.

@Jay VoPava now a blue belt ! I occasionally catch people here and there with it (whites and blues only) but people at my gym got pretty wise to it and defend it well as I tried it so much. But I agree with using it to help escape side control has been pretty effective for me as well for that. I find you really gotta be pushing the head away / down when shooting your leg up in order to get it in well enough before they posture up with head, other wise I can never even get my leg over the head.

Also when I get it looked in and I can't get a tap I like to grab the trapped arm by the elbow and pull it closer to help get tap, been real helpful to finish when I find them not tapping from it. Forgot if I saw that from one of his videos or a different one

3:40 I feel that if you push with one leg and pull with the other you might be able to break that forearm…you creat enough pain to make the guy tap 🤔
