Very smooth song from the classic debut solo album of Bjork. I have a Q Magazine from May 1993 that is signed by her & the other two cover stars PJ Harvey & Tori Amos. * ( 1994 )

Thanks for playing Come to Me, for me this is the best track on the album even though it wasnt released as a single,The Hunter from the Homogenic album is a good track ❤ the Homogenic album is about death & rebirth

I love this song. Thanks to my girlfriend at the time, I listened to Debut a lot when it came out. We broke up the following year but no worries - I just went out and bought my own copy 👍🏽 I think that Indian drum is a tabla….but I don’t really know, their might be other kinds of Indian drums. It’s a relaxing sound.

2 points of interest...1- I believe this is to her child; 2- the group she was with before going solo was The Sugarcubes. To see just how powerful a voice she has, you should check "Cold Sweat" from their 1988 album.

I love this track and the album it is off, please consider reacting to some of the Björk tracks which I suggested in your last reaction to her. Chris, I think the drums were Tom Toms or Congo drums. Cynthia, I think it's about her telling someone who doesn't realise that he (or she) is loved by her and explaining the depth of her love.

I liked the Sugarcubes when I was kid, and I developed a big crush on Bjork for a couple of years after reading she was from Iceland. I thought The Sugarcubes were an English band and the ''Birthday'' video was shot in England. I was a kid and yet to discover the world. Anyway.. PhD - I Won't Let You Down Friday Night In The Video Room vs Kate Ceberano - I Won't Let You Down kate ceberano official channel (video clip) I never thought about this comparison until reading through comments, but it's actually quite interesting that a British electronic duo in the early 80's released their single, ''I Won't Let You Down'', in Australia a year prior to releasing it internationally. The record company wanted to test the song out on the Countdown audience and see what would happen. This proved to be successful (Australian Top 10 charts) with the Countdown kids, who had power in the game of chart performance. Anyway, Kate Ceberano was a Countdown kid prior to joining pop-band I'm Talking, and she got to record the song in 1999, which seems like something an ex - Countdown kid would do at karaoke. So, it would be pretty cool to compare the two...
