And like i said how often do you see a civic launch that hard and straight and sound that good?!?!? There is no Honda, the orange car is a Nissan Sunny (look at the rear lights), you could get them with a 4wd 4 cylinder turbo from the factory.

I love seeing the VOLVOs. I have always wanted to build a custom 240 turbo wagon with the 162 front end. Maybe one day I will find some spare time and the right donor cars to build it. It is great to see the smaller engines competing. The V8s are not very interesting to me, the inline engines capture my interest much more. Keep up the great content. Tak

Yes that is impressive, but remember they are doing an 8 second pass an they attach it to an A/C. Forklifts could work 24hrs. a day. But dang! 80x more power?!

An electric motor will take as much electricity as you can throw at it, only problem is heat and friction in the bearings.

For sure, electric vehicles are better in every way. But I don’t care at all, if a car don’t have an internal combustion engine, all the fun is removed. Car culture will die the day the engine dies.

The car at 0:53 is using an aluminum diesel 5 cylinder block but is running on petrol/methanol?!? Is this a fairly common setup in Europe? I’m guessing it’s a T5 head adapted to a stronger D5 block. I’d love to learn more about this if anyone has good resources on the process. Pardon my ignorance but being in the States means there’s very little in the way of Volvo performance culture.

I remember seeing a 944 i5 from Maxxtuning on gatebil project forum 2005ish if I recall. Lots of s2 were being tuned including mine. Wagner tuning were just starting out. Good memories 👍🏻
