In this video, the large-signal model of the BJT has been explained.

The transistor model :
The transistor model is the equivalent representation of the BJT which closely represents the transistor characteristics. This model is based on the familiar circuit elements like a voltage source, current source, resistor, diode, etc. And using this model the analysis of the circuit becomes easier.
Based on the magnitude of the input signal, there are two transistor models.
1) The large-signal model
2) The small-signal model
As its name suggests, when the input signal to the BJT is large, the large-signal model is used.
The large signal could be AC or DC signal.
But in the common-emitter configuration, when the BJT is used as voltage amplifier, the large signal is often referred to the DC signal.
The BJT is a non-linear device, and in the large-signal model, all the non-linearities in the BJT is taken into account.
The large-signal model which is discussed in the video is applicable only when the BJT is operating in the forward active region.
This video will be helpful to all the students of science and engineering in understanding the large-signal model of the BJT.

Should I model bjt as voltage controlled device or as a current controlled device ,because if we look Ic=IS.exp(vbe/vt) We can see collector current is a strong function of vbe , so can we say that bjt is voltage controlled but if we this it's voltage control the equation become very complex to solve , also looking in data sheet how will we find reverse saturation current IS

direction of current source in large signal model should be taken opposite to what is taken as it is npn transistor, current should be acc to arrow in transistor from p to n

In NPN transistor, the collector current flows from collector to emitter side. At the emitter node, the summation of base current and collector current is equal to emitter current. So, here it is satisfying the KCL. If you consider the direction of current source opposite then it won't happen.

@@PavithranD22 Saturation current is for forward-biased diode current, and reverse saturation current is the small reverse-biased current, also known as leakage current.
