Congrats to Chuba for his 4-year $33.2 Million extension with $16.5 fully guaranteed plus a guaranteed $7.53+ Million signing bonus. He’ll be making a minimum of $8.37+ Million each season in 2025, 2026, 2027 & 2028 if he plays out the full contract with Carolina…for this 2024 season he’s making his previous $2.08 Million salary but already got that $7.53+ signing bonus so he’s earning right at $10 million for 2024 and will earn over $8.37 Million each year after that (that’s just guaranteed base salary…he’ll also have several hundred thousand here and there added each year for minor offseason bonuses & major on-field performance bonuses. He’s now in top-10 NFL RB money and no one seems to talk about to (probly cus Carolina is a young team with only 4 wins and he’s not loudest of guys…come to think of it I can’t think of a time I’ve ever even heard his voice…maybe a couple times in post game interviews but i can’t recall it…he just shows up everyday to work). He deserves this big $. He’s put in 4 nfl seasons worth of work to get to this point and earn this life changing cash.

Yeah Chuba has worked damn hard to get his starting spot and it's well deserved! I was hooked on him when he first had to fill in for CMC when he was injured. Chuba proved himself to me that year when he performed far better than you would ever expect a young backup to perform! The part that blew my mind though is that when CMC left I thought for sure that Chuba would be the guaranteed starter after 2 solid years filling in for CMC, but no, they made him prove himself again! I never understood that. Then they made the massive mistake of bringing in Sanders and Chuba had to prove himself a third time to take the starting spot! Nobody can say that boy hasn't earned his place on this team after all that! I thought they were even going to try to do it to him again with Jonathan Brooks. That's why I was so glad to hear that they finally realized Chuba's value and finally signed and paid him the contract he deserves! He's also just getting started! We ain't even seen peak Chuba yet!!

The problem with Carolina was poor qb play at the start and injuries. DB is a big part of their ability to stop the run. Also missing Thielin and Jewell for a good part of the season hurt.

Nothing to really talk about. It's like roles reversed for CJ and Bryce. Now CJ has the bottom 5 OL and of his 3 starting receivers, it was rare for all 3 to be on the field together thanks to injuries. Collins and Diggs here today gone tmw. Finishing the season and going to playoffs without Dell. Now it's Bryce with a top 10 OL and respectable receivers. In all, CJ is still the better QB despite his teams struggles. Bryce might be passing the eye test here and there but there's just not enough wins or enough on the stat lines for it to mean anything....yet.
