The important thing to remember is that as a back he needs to be able to run with the ball, pass it, recieve it, tackle and wrestle for the ball. The big difference between the sports, in addtion to how to run, how to tackle, how to be tackled and how to pass is that In rugby every player needs a much wider set of skills. LRZ regularly performed the tasks of linebackers, safties, wide reciever, running back and quarterback along with the occasional interlude as defensive or offensive tackle.

@@BklynreauThese people are getting ahead of themselves Christian Wade had great pace and so did Valentine Holmes and to a lesser extent Jarryd Hayne. They all think Lewis is in the team but he needs to make the 53 or special teams. He has zero experience and where players have not done well is with learning the playbook and understanding defensive lines. We will see but my feelings are there are guys who've spent their whole life playing American Football and I don't see how he reaches their understanding in training days and nit even a game yet. He's young, proven performance under massive pressure, has the skillset and grew up watching nfl. It was an easy option for Reid, 3 years signing him at practice squad rates. Fairly sure he got signed as a kick returner in order to exploit the new kick off rule change in the NFL. It plays out exactly like rugby which are his strengths. Once you get past the "wall" it's open ground to a TD. As you can see in the footage, he doesn't have many issues with that. Not sure how the NFL equipment will hinder him though. Wearing all that extra gear might slow him down.

Can catch a high ball, acceleration, hits stride after a step or two, has played in massive stadiums. Chiefs could have a legit kick returner. LRZ would make a good kick receiver. You don't see it in the highlights, but in rugby, there's a lot of annoying ball tennis where one team will kick the ball away in the hope that the opposition will drop the ball and lead to a scrum. If LRZ was bad under a high ball, he wouldn't have made the grade. Hope LRZ can find a role with the chiefs and show off his skills.

Eagles Jordan Mailata is a ex Australian rugby league player, Valentin Holmes now back playing Australian NRL played at RB for the Jet's, Jarrod Hayne former Australian NRL rugby league player played RB & both end's special teams for the 49ers. If you include Rugby League (a similar but separate sport fielding thirteen players instead of fifteen which is where Jordan Mailata came from) then you could double that figure. He's big enough: just over 6' 3" tall and 194 lb, and has been clocked running 100m in 10.4 seconds from a crouching start, not from the starting blocks. 'Rugby Star' is a bit of a stretch. He's a 'star' in Wales for rugby but thats about it.

Let me guess... A typical bok right? Of course he's a rugby star! Would get into any team in world rugby. Consistent unlike Kolbe! The whole of rugby knows exactly what he can do. He's a lions player also.

@@neilclement8330you don't even have to look at the name to know where he's from. If Kolbe had made the move he'd be wetting himself. LRZ is a star and would get in any rugby team in the world. To be quicker than Johnny May which is something in itself, yet he hardly looks like he's trying and he's a big lad too.

Mate, he's played against Pacific Islanders and Maoris. Your average All Black Maori's response to an NFL D-lineman is to fucking eat him. =]

That's because you are watching a highlight reel of tries scored during games. Not all the actual hard play SMH🤷. Games played in the UK where the majority of the population 82.9% are white.
