That sweep tapping section at the end remains some of the rawest shredding I've ever seen, 14 years later.
@efficientguitarlessons2 ай бұрын
Hi, it is actually not a sweep, let´s see if i can explain myself, D=pick dpwn U= pick up first number string, second number fret so D6-6 would mean Downpick 6th string 6th fret. H= hammer SO: D6-6, U5-6, H5-8, D4-8 U3-8 H3-10 , D2-11 U1-11 H1-13 Hope it makes sense, it´s the same 3 notes going up an octave each time (Bb, Eb hammer on F). This is just the "going up" part of that lick, the "going back down" part involves some extra notes with tapping, which I don´t know at the time, but hopefully you can get an idea. It is the same sus4 arpeggio that he does at the beginning, but with more notes. I started transcribing this one but never had the time to finish it. The only one I could learn (but just by ear, I haven´t transcribed it) is his FFXIII cover , Blinded by light, for a student that wanted to learn it, needless to say, it kicked my a$$. I am a big fan of this guy, he is amazing.
i remember watching the videos on this channel around the time they first released. 13 years later and they're still some of the best FF music covers out there

Same here man, when I first saw this back in around 2010 or so I was absolutely blown away, his covers have stood the test of time and are still insane even with today s standards. This guy was way ahead of his time

Eleven Years ago we watched this video with my best friend, it changed everything for us, we decided to beat every FF and we almost did it. Sadly he died yestarday and even if I feel devastated, I decide to listen to this awesome masterpiece of you Mr. Kimishima and it did uplift my spirits. I will always cherish this video and all the memories with my great friend. Thank you for being so awesome Mr. Kimishima :)

The amount of variations this guy was able to obtain from such a simple theme is unbelievable... The bass sings along with it's own variations, too... Shamefully underrated arrengement.

Imagine being 14 year to late to find this amazing cover, couldn't be happier simply amazing.
I will NEVER understand the trolls disliking posts like this one.Even it's not the kind of music you like to listen to,you OBVIOUSLY CANNOT deny this guys's skills and dedication to his instruments.If that's not inspiring then what is?
This video was actually the reason which got me started on learning guitar in 2011. Sadly I have given up on playing guitar around 2018 when life struck multiple times. Still recovering from huge hits, but these videos gave me the motivation to learn this amazing instrument. Still amazes me to this day. Amazing work, and wherever you are and whatever you do, keep it up. You did an amazing job here, man!

You are still my favourite guitarist on youtube. I hope you come back one day. あなたはまだユーチューブ上の私の好きなギタリストです。私はあなたが1日戻ってくる願っています。 Anata wa mada yūchūbu-jō no watashi no sukina gitarisutodesu. Watashi wa anata ga 1-nichi modotte kuru negatte imasu.
